Hypothetically speaking, thermite ignited on the engines of any of their new toys would turn them into multi-ton paperweights.

There will be a pro-gun rally come this Saturday from what I have read online at the CT State Capitol grounds.

It will be instead, the start of a future second American revolt.

The rational consensus seems to be that if the gun-grab order were given, cops would pinch a registration scofflaw at the grocery store, at work, on the road…

Lets think about that for a moment.

How would the government know who has an unregistered weapon? The are forbidden by law from checking the sales information.

So if the government did break the law and get the sales info and know everyone who has one of these weapons, what is the point of having a gun registration in the first place?

By the same token some quiet and overlooked ones will surprise you.

I once heard someone say "Those that talk, don't do. Those that do, don't talk."

CT could very well be the catalyst.

What a shock that would be, since CT epitomizes everything the Left is.

You must not have ever heard of this thing called ‘The Internet’ which has this other thing on it called ‘Google’ where you can easily search for thousands of stories of people who’ve been arbitrarily murdered by militarized police.

“It will be instead, the start of a future second American revolt.”

The gun owners and CCW holders I know are the most law-abiding people I’ve ever met. I don’t see them suddenly going around shooting random law enforcement officers. I can’t picture any violent response from any of us. Violence is a tool of the left and especially the LBGT community, the “occupy” types and the hippies of years gone by.

How does one get PTSD without actually being in combat?

If "one" is driving a truck humping ammo and fuel via a convoy to a hot spot, he is in combat. Iraq did not have a "front" like wars of old and so rear echelon troops hauling freight were subject to attack by IEDs. For awhile it seemed rear echelon troops were taking more casualties from IEDs than troops in direct contact.

GtG

By the same token, they could do the same thing for “drug dealers”, parole violators, and other suspected criminals....but as you say...

You are correct, far and away, most gun owners are very careful to obey all laws.

There is a very loud and small group of mostly youngsters that think there will be a revolt, and everything will be hunky dory in a few days.

They have no clue what “revolution” means. Partly, it means being branded a criminal. Living in the woods or hiding 24/7/365 in the same clothes you wore last week and last month. It means eating garbage just to stay alive and being miserable cold. It means having dysentery, and watching several of your friends die from it. It means losing your home and family members.

It also means killing your fellow citizens to make your political point.

No, there will be no revolt as people are not desperate enough in their lives to resort to all of this.

Holder will propose no firearms if you have been in a war.

I think that civil conflict...confused military...ect...would certainly benefit our enemies.

For 4th Generation Warfare understands that the way to defeat an enemy is to directly engage the war makers and decision takers.

A thing that needs pointing out with fair frequency. There is a persistent fantasy among the gun grabbers that they can start a civil war and remain outside the fray. That isn't how civil wars work.

The moment that federal forces get involved in such firearm raids in CT is the moment that the civil war starts in all 50 states.

I doubt open combat will be quite that quick but it will be highly uncomfortable to be a BATF agent bullying an FFL holder in an environment where his counterparts are shooting citizens elsewhere in the country. And highly dangerous. In order to enjoy a federal pension you have to live to receive it.

As my friend Bob Wright once told an FBI SAC in Albuquerque NM when he asked Bob if he would take his men out of state to the site of another potential Waco: "Why would I want to do that? There's plenty of you federal sonsabitches around here."

I don't actually think this is a case of chest-pounding or making bombastic threats. It's a message that needs to be calmly, rationally communicated to decision makers contemplating violence against citizens. Placing people in a position where they've nothing to lose is a recipe for disaster.

“No, there will be no revolt as people are not desperate enough in their lives to resort to all of this.”

When these “well-what-are-you-we-going-to-do-about-it” types ask when will we revolt, I always try to describe what you said with such eloquence. Those who think the revolt should start tomorrow (and, somebody else should start it, by-the-way) have no clue what would happen. Every civil war in history was going to be over by Christmas. But more and more foreign powers get involved and that lengthens it to perhaps never ending. Canada, Mexico, Israel, Russia would all get in on it, supplying (probably both sides) with more and more powerful weapons.

No, sir, the only way to “win” a civil war is to make darned sure it doesn’t start. Also, do you think Lee and Grant would not have used nukes if they had them? If the alternative was losing 30,000? Or, maybe losing the war? Sure they would. It would have been their duty.

How would the government know who has an unregistered weapon?

They have the names of the folks who tried to register and missed the deadline.

In other words, they have made felons of these people who tried to comply on a technicality of a new law that had not existed before. And now they are threatening them.
