when you sign up you agree to the rules. plain and simple. if you don’t like the rules, don’t sign up. plain and simple.
God forbid that anybody be required to look professional these days.
When you call a plumber and some idiot wearing his cap sideways with clothes 2 sizes too big falls out of a van in your driveway, you see the current state of affairs of professionalism. They tell you immediately by this that they aren’t to be taken seriously and the quality of their work will soon prove that.
Are we getting to the point where a thief will be able to sue a bank for discrimination because they won’t hire him and let him count the money in the vault? Or pedophiles can demand that they be allowed to manage children’s camps?

I have stopped being surprised by the manner of dress and behavior of job applicants that come to interview at my company. I must have missed the memo that said that suits and shoes are optional, tattoos can be exposed and multiple piercings everywhere but the ears is acceptable. Oh, not to mention the lack of communication skills these days.
Obama has succeeded in destroying the greatest military in the world. We are so screwed.
However, hairstyles that incorporate their own cover are permissible because of their practicality.
Military grooming standards have nothing to do with race.
They are for the express purpose of keeping the troops alive.
When WW1 came along and they deployed poison gas and other nasty things, gas masks would not seal on a face with a beard, nor would they fit properly with long shaggy hair.
We had uniform, and personal appearance guidelines we had to follow in my job. We were told by the powers-that-be, that those rules were part of the paycheck.
The Army just reflects society. Americans are becoming more fragmented, less united. No one celebrates what makes us a nation, rather they celebrate more and more what divides us.
Oddly, the Russian Army appears to be having no such problems...
The problem that I have with these regs is that it does the opposite. A black woman who doesn’t want to use relaxers or nasty weaves is left with few options here. This is impractical for women in combat or the field.
She can’t have multiple braids, so cornrows are out. She can’t shave the sides short and leave a bit on the top (a high and tight) because she has to leave it with some length.
I get that there need to be regs, but they just took away most of the healthy options.
so obama’s son wont be allowed entry in the Army when he reaches 18?...
