You seem average to me, too. Those guys out to sea for us, they’re the heroes. Wish I knew one.

The control freak I had in mind was also short, and bald.

One of the great jerks the universe ever spewed forth.

Don’t believe, they don’t know what they’re doing, they’re arrogant, will never admit to a mistake of not hiring someone, even if they occasionally admit to a mistake of hiring someone.

Been there, seen that, done that, made mistakes hiring, saw mistakes being made, idiots rule everywhere.

Interviewer: What is your greatest strength?

Me: I'm really good at Google.

Seriously - I don't necessarily know a lot, but I do know how to search and filter information to find the answers to what I don't know :)

Although now retired....many, many years ago I had an interview for a technical position at a broadcast engineering firm. During the interview, I was asked what a "dBrnC" was. It was the only question I couldn't answer and I became really worried that it might kill my chances.

As it turned out, I was awarded the position and on the first day my new boss said he liked the fact that I was one of the very few who was curious enough to ask him enough questions to understand what it was. Moral of the story: Cats aside, curiosity won't kill you. (If you're curious enough, you'll probably Google dBrnC)
