I received this in email and thought it worth passing along
I have worked in the government on and off for 40 years. During that time I became quite familiar with requisitions, bidding, awarding contracts etc. It is a time- consuming process with bean-counters and pencil-necked bureaucrats every step of the way. The simplest request takes months.. not days or hours.
Now follow me please.. let it sink in of what it takes...... In less than 8 hours of the shutdown, miraculously, professionally printed 3X4 foot signs appeared all over the country in the tens of thousands saying this [park, facility, etc. with custom logos for EACH parks name on it] was closed due to government shutdown.. let THAT sink in... There has not been a government shutdown in 17 years. These signs were designed, specifications were determined, signs were then requisitioned, bids were posted and vetted, government contracts were awarded...... in 8 HOURS!! The materials were then ordered and the signs manufactured then distributed by U. S. Mails or freight companies.. the fastest they could possibly have had them would be over-night...... ALL of this in EIGHT HOURS!!!!
Something as simple as a sign PROVES This shutdown was orchestrated and planned well in advance at least 6-8 month ago. Millions of tax dollars were appropriated and spent in this process.... in 8 hours
There is a paper trail a mile long leading directly to the White House.. Like that's a big surprise...
However, something as simple as a freshly painted sign being made AND SHOWN in just a few hours raises suspicion... it seems like a simple overlook to everyone else, but after 40 years of Government work I knew the TRUTH was right there driven into the ground, or posted at the Main gate. Let me remind you, 10's of THOUSANDS were made! With the Parks names on them!! Common sense must kick in at some point. At LEAST 6 to 8 months ago.

Everything this clown does is planned.
It’s a moot point now. We might as well have been seeing “We capitulate” signs signed by McConnell and Boehner.
The Clintons had the signs stashed away in their basement.
Is there anyone who was surprised that the shutdown happened when it did? I sure wasn’t. I knew that there was no way the two sides would reach agreement before the deadline. So why is anyone amazed that they had the signs ready?
What difference, at this point, does it make?
This should be easy to acquire through a FOIA request.
I’ll do it if no one else is.
Anyone know if Judicial Watch is working on it?
I don’t mind the work- I just don’t want to unneccessarily duplicate what someone else is working on.

I’m sure they were printed up in advance by some union shop somewhere who’d get paid for them regardless if they were used or not. Kind of like the professional banners and signs the muzzies carry at anti christian, uh, get togethers.
I was going to say something like “Forget it, Jake. It’s Chinatown.” But upon reflection, maybe there’s some value in it anyway. Even their refusal to disclose would, in itself, be elucidating.
It’s a coup d’etat. You are living through one. If we’re lucky, we will live to tell our grandchildren about it. In our own country. A free country.
I don’t think it was planned so much as allowed to happen. They could have stopped it but didn’t. Why? Because they knew the GOP was without a plan or leadership (Yeah, I’m looking at you Ted Cruz). He was also aware that the RINO’s would cave. He let his enemies shot themselves. And it worked and it worked well.
The way this was handled by Cruz and some others was a disaster. I don’t care if I agree with what you want, but you just don’t blow something up and walk away. Could he have kept it shutdown? No. But there was no plan and no message. Would a filibuster work?) NO he did not filibuster). Not ultimately, but you do it anyway.
The WH has read Dun Tzu. We used it all the time against inept Defense Atty’s. You let the enemy defeat themselves once you see they don’t know what they are doing.
And, no .... they didn’t know what they were doing. I also go back to what I have said on Issa. You can’t just point a finger and yell. You have to be thorough. You have to have a plan. You have to work ALL angles. You can’t just stand up and scream. And that is all some of these people are doing. Screaming.
I know there are some big Cruz fans here.I still kind of am but was much more before. But seeing these types of people coming to Court was a Prosecutor’s dream. We knew they would just yell to the jury about the police, how terrible the Prosecutor was, etc. But they had no case. And as bad as they may have tried to make us look, even if believed, at the end of the day they were inept. Cruz and Co was inept on this one. Hopefully they won’t continue to be.
