Same here. I got the email about two hours ago, then a phone call from my boss. Report to work tomorrow as normal.
Our men and women in military service should be the first to be paid and should never lose benefit because of politics. I include “ex military” in this statement because, well, I hear there is no such thing as “ex” in the military.

I understand both sides. After 5 years of Active Duty I put in 11 as a civilian. I left when I realized I was part of the problem and not part of the solution. I was an O-4 US Army. The oath I took is FOREVER. I still have a TA 50 by the bedroom door. I paid for it. I have been “on my own” for almost ten years. Don’t regret a minute. If you work for the gummint you might want to take a minute or two and think about it. Are you part of the solution or part of the problem?
