“Good luck. Squirrel is good eats.”

When I eventually trap him, he's going to rightly’s house. He feeds them and there are woods all around their house. I have to trap more I know, so this is a beginning.

We have six gardens in the front, all of which are at least 15 to 20 feet long and 5 or 6 feet wide. They were lovely when we first planted them, but have become horribly overgrown and weedy these last three years. Next summer will be different, I am determined.

Are you planning to eat the squirrel?

I am always amazed at the size of those trees. The tallest one on my property is around 30ft.

No, he’s going to rightly’s house/woods to live.

Also ordered two “Vine Peaches”. Here is info. on Vine Peaches:

HAH! When I bought those, they were sold as "Cucumber Melons". They taste something like a honeydew....or at least some of them do.I planted several seeds around a shady tree out front, and they grew up the tree and produced a lot of sweet, melon-flavored fruit. The ones I plants in my greenhouse tasted like cucumber.
Yep, all out of the same package.

Good. I admit I’m relieved. If someone wants to kill and eat squirrels, they have every right to, imho, but I couldn’t do it unless I absolutely had to.

I believe the second door is to release the catch, if it is like mine. Mine works good, caught many varmints including wife's Poodle. He went out to take care of nature and smelled the bait and had to have it. photo 102_3821-1.jpg

I’m sorry. I know how hard that is. I’m glad that he had such a long life with you.

That seems right about the second door but the instructions specifically talk about using both to capture a critter. It has a set up on the top to add the second door for capture or to disengage the second one. I disengaged it to leave only one door open.

He was quite a character. We was a rescue pup, had lived in a cage and didn’t know how to run jump or have fum. He didn’t much care for people for a long time, but I treated him special and made him my best bud. His last 6 years he really came out of his mood and loved life. The other poodle is not as bright, just lies around and goes outside a couple of times a day. Not really as good a company, though he likes to be around people.

We had a rescue greyhound who had lived in a crate for two years. When we adopted her, she didn’t know how to climb stairs or cross floors without sliding and panicking. It took us quite some time to calm her, but she grew into such a happy and affectionate girl.

I have some cardboard boxes items came in. Is it okay to cut those up into fairly small pieces and put them in composter unit? I’ve got that big composter and need to know more about what can go in it? Can I cut up cardboard and put it in there?

Sure you can. The smaller the pieces the quicker it turns to compost.

I am wondering if you couldn’t just bury stuff at the back of the property. Long ago, that’s what people used to do who lived in town, and didn’t have too much room.
