One possibility is Russia

'tis a desperate time in America, when moving to Russia looks like a viable option.

Try the Pimsleur method. It is the best way to pick up a language ever. Period.

When I learned Mandarin Chinese some years ago, my teacher was able to tailor my lessons to go along with the Pimsleur program... this was the fastest way to ever pick up a language...

:)

Here is a sample of Pimsleur's Polish language I found on the Internet using SearchSongs.org.

Pimsleur Polish

Whatever you do, Good luck, or "Powodzenia!"

Yep. And worst of all, we also ran out of beer.

See, I told you it was horrible.

I’m no expert by any means, but isn’t Australia actually worse with climate/censorship/gun rights/taxes?

Yep, plus you got to pony up $2M to invest in their country.

Where to go?

I understand Ecuador is popular lately.

A good question and I think very well reasoned. I was content to just read the reply’s as I usually do - but as you put a good effort Into it - I thought I would tell you of what I have found.
I’ve been searching for about 6 years now for a place to escape to, to raise my family as I see fit - and to live free - and last year I believe I have found that place right here in America. I was so intrigued about this location that last summer I took a job there for 12 weeks just to really be sure.
It’s hard enough to get to that most would pass it by - if they even know its there. And in a full blown collapse would be completely isolated.
Firearms freedom is intact - shall issue, open carry, and kids with guns walking down the road to shoot squirrels is normal. There is 1 law enforcement officer - part time - when he’s not manning the pizza station. Seat belts, and being of driving age is something he doesn’t concern himself with, and cruising around with friends and some beers are ok as long as your not being dangerous.
There is a lot more on the positive side - and some negatives (my 14 year old social diva daughter will tell you). But my point is - there are places, and you do not have to be a foreigner in another country to find them.
Good luck to you FRiend

It seems to me that if you don’t want to be an American anymore, you somehow get elected as President under the false pretense of being an American and live at the White Crib. Best example I can think of.

Belize. Costa Rica. New Zealand. Switzerland. Some of these you will need significant cash in order to become a resident.

Fred Reed (fredoneverything.net) is fond of Mexico, despite its current state.

Actually most of the Polish I pick up comes from listening to Polish music. I have an Internet station I listen to.

Which station?

I listen to two rock stations - Eska Rock and AntyRadio. :)

Correct, they are both generally FURTHER along the progressive decline than we are and way worse in terms of political correctness. When I last visited them years ago that wasn't yet the case.

lots of folks are going to “just say no”....followed by “make my day”.

I just read "What I saw at the Coup", written by FR's own Travis McGee. Excellent piece of short fiction, I recommend it.

In it, he presents what you suggest, precisely.

And FWIW, I don't think that there will be some overarching Conservative Plot to kick the current WH occupant out. When have Conservatives ever agreed on anything? They're like herding cats. Jeez, just post something on FR, you'll get 30 posters replying with 50 different opinions. :-)

Nope, I think that "What I saw at the Coup" is on to something. Revolution happening, but via people acting singly or in pairs, all independently.

Great post. It’s a big country & there’s a lot of room in it to find a place away from a lot of this madness, but of course not all of it. I told my kids that they can do what they see fit in the future which is why I got this second passport & access for them to bug-out.

I’ll retire as soon as I can and ignore this utter stupidity, until the guns are drawn.

Unfortunately, I cannot retire for at least 10 years. I doubt there will ever be a Civil War. If there is, it will end up being something like the the Jacobite Rebellion in 1745.

I do know I'm finished with politics. Any money I would have sent to Republican RINO candidates will be spent on my wife and dog and myself to make life bearable. I'll spend my political contributions on cigars or bottles of fine wine before I'll send another dollar to those RINO Judases.

And I'll have no liberal/statist friends.

Pimsleur Language Courses

I uncovered them with Search Songs

Despite the many and obvious hardships the life of the Lykovs has a certain appeal. Thank you for sharing that with us.

“There are NO jobs, No women, No water, No air, the people are rude and we ran out of food years ago.”

You forgot to mention all the crawling and slithering things with a poisous bite.

Don’t go to Texas, ever. :)
