MN Author Vince Flynn Dies At 47

Minnesota author Vince Flynn has died after a long battle with prostate cancer.

WCCO-TV has learned that Flynn died Wednesday morning at United Hospital in St. Paul.

Flynn has authored 15 novels centered around the character of Mitch Rapp, an undercover CIA agent. The majority of those novels have made it to the New York Times bestseller list.

WOW - so sorry to hear. That’s a very young age to die from prostate cancer, especially to have had it for a long time. A very talented guy - who leaves behind a legacy that will last a long time. I’m sure Rush will mention this today...

Wow - so young! I enjoyed the American Assassin - Mitch Rapp novels. Would that we had such people in the field. RIP Vince Young.

OMG, I'm stunned! I thought his fight against cancer was going better than that. When he was doing interviews for The Last Man, he looked great!. Sad and shocking news, indeed.

Oh no. He was a terrific writer and a good man. Also had some excellent connections in the world of Intel.

Very sad to read this. Loved his books and always enjoyed listening to him on the Hugh Hewitt show. Condolences to his family.

Was sad to hear this on local radio today.

Met him at a book signing once. He was a really nice guy.

Oh man... This is SO SAD! I have ALL of his books... several of them in first edition, autographed copies.

I loved them all...

RIP Vince... taken WAY too soon.

That’s a shame. I’ve read some of his novels and greatly enjoyed the character of Mitch Rapp. Rapp was my idea of a real man, tough as nails, possessed of high intelligence, and devoted to his country.
