Interesting. People often prefer dogs to cats, or vice versa, but I’ve never understood hatred of any innocent animal.

No, neither PETA nor HSUS are animal-friendly. They kill more animals than they adopt out when they are unfortunate enough to fall into their clutches. They would like to keep shelters killing adoptable animals, calling it “bravery” and “courageous” and fight legislation that would improve things for animals across the board. Of course killing cats is not beneath them — They do it all the time!

Indeed they do, but there are many who would rather blame the cats who didn’t ask to be where they are. The irresponsible will react by blaming the cat — although the situation of feral cats is a man-made one and humans who react with anger at ferals show their lack of compassion and reckless lack of responsibility for a situation they created. Pathetic.
(And anyone reading this who doesn’t agree can keep their nonsensical rantings to themselves. Those who call for the killing of feral cats — don’t bother pinging me on this. We already don’t agree!)

I’d say it speaks volumes of the character of the one expressing the hatred. ‘Nuff said.

Doubling down on the joke explaining?
My post, a true story, is a self-contained witticism. When the reader realizes the lesbian has named her dog Peter and yells to it in public, “Peter, come!”, the reader is supposed to laugh.
If you do not laugh, however, and feel the need to respond to a joke online, one appropriate way to do that is to type “LOL!”

I have lived with cats most of my life, all indoor cats, all lived to advanced old age, and I can't recall a single case of bird victims or even feathered evidence.
The cats do get daily outdoor privileges under supervision, but the birds seem to have settled on a mutually beneficial schedule.
My cats never visit neighboring properties.
Perhaps they should concentrate on catching, spaying and releasing some cat owners.

I had a lot of cats because people dropped them off in the neighborhood, and it took a while to neuter, tame, and then give away about half of them. Once the dust settled, I got collars with bells, and the bird catchng dropped to almost nothing.
Now 2 are blind, and the third is not a hunter (hereditary blindness). The blind/almost blind ones do catch occasional lizards or rodents, bring them to the front of the house, and if the prey is alive, the cats are rewarded with their fave treat (cheese). Mostly the prey is alive and “relocated”.

I think there is kitty LSD in Party MixAbsolutely. LOL
AndyMan even prefers it to lovely fresh organic catnip.
We're probably better off not knowing what they put in the stuff.

I'm so sick of those ignorant cat hating bird brained people using their made up statistics to kill cats. I used to like birds. BUt, every since this so called war started with these idiot birdbrained people started this, I've learned to resent birds and do not care about them at all. Second in command at the Audobon society showed his true colors when he called on people to poison cats. I hope he gets the karma he deserves and suffers greatly for that.
Birds bring over 60 diseases to your backyard.
