The first known Savannah cat was born April 7, 1986 when a female domestic cat gave birth to a kitten sired by an African Serval, according to the International Cat Association (TICA). It is described as a tall, lean, graceful cat with "striking dark spots and other bold markings.

I don’t know what my crazy Mary is, just a gray domestic. She ALWAYS knows when the carrier is for her.
By the time we get to the vet, they are more worried about me than her.
I guess it’s all the blood seeping through the clothes on my arms, legs and thighs.

I’ve never had a Siamese. I’ve had three Himalayans, which can have a Siamese temperament or a Persian temperament, but you never know which cat it will be.
I’ll get a pair. I’m certainly winded after trying to trap her in the bathroom just to then attempt to get her in the damn carrier!
We are living with our second Siamese. Both have been big lovable babies without a mean bone in them. Our little half-Siamese guy can be a terror though.
Both neutered males though, no idea how a spayed female Siamese is to live with. Wife prefers male kittehs.

Perhaps, but I’ve had a 26 pound Maine...and have given him pills.
I've got a German Shorthaired Pointer (dog) that is the same way. Lord have mercy on the critter that strays into our yard. With people she's timid and shy, but with squirrels, rabbits, lizards, cats, birds, mice, etc... she's a hell-hound.
I would like one with leopard spots, please.

Lol....my Kitty popping pills didn’t last long, had to switch to liquid, much easier.
Did she get it all? No. But I told her it was for her own good and only for 7-10 days.
She really didn’t like to listen either. However, I got less mutilated with the liquid than with pills.
She would also pretend to swallow them, then spit it out while walking away, stare me down, daring me to try again.
Just busybodies armed with the certainty of ignorance.
I would think that it would take several generations removed from a wild to get that “wild” out of them.
But just the same, once it figures out that it can kick your butt, it will.
They are lions and tigers who happen to be behaving well FOR THE MOMENT.

I have a reclaimed feral cat. Her mother was an abandoned Siamese and her father was certainly mixed origin.
She was 5 months old when I got her and she socialized quite willingly. But now and then the feral comes out and I have the bite marks to show for it.
She is worth it. She has many redeeming qualities and I would not trade her for a gentler cat at all.
But I take issue with you thoughts on Siamese. Over many decades I have a bunch of Siamese and none were anything about affectionate and sociable
They can be made crazy but they aren't born that way.
My latest Siamese likes people so much he comes and gets me when the doorbell rings and he hopes it's someone who's going to come in. No, they're great cats.
I love the Savanna’s but the cheapest one I have found was 800 dollars...prices usually start at 1000 and go up from there, depending on the kitty...Have seen pictures of them walking on a leash like a dog, but if the cat ran away, with what they cost, you’d cry for a week...
Siamese cats are not “psychopaths”, and they are neither frightening nor dangerous; they are gentle, predictable, and affectionate, more like dogs than cats of other breeds. The only ones who are not have been abused and fear humans; any animal that has been abused fears humans..
