White father furious after being accused of kidnapping his own biracial daughters after family trip to Walmart
A dad visited by police was suspected of stealing his three mixed race children because he is white. After a routine trip to a Woodbridge, Virginia WalMart, Josepha white man who says he does not want his last name revealedtook his three young daughters home. Then a visitor came knocking at the door. It was a police officer with a shocking question.
Did he just ask us if these were out kids, Josephs wife Keana, who is black, recalled wondering, in an interview with Fox 5 DC.
But she knew the answer. The officer from Prince William County Sheriffs Department had been sent to determine if the three little girls, a 4-year-old and 2-year-old twins, were Josephs.
He asks us very sincerely, Hey, I was sent here by Walmart security. I just need to make sure that the children that you have are your own, Joseph said. Someone at the department store had apparently seen Joseph with the girls and called police with a concerned that hed kidnapped them.

I was thanked by a white woman I stopped from pulling a screaming black kid into a van once. I didn’t let the kid go till police arrived and sorted it all out.
It turned out that the woman was a foster parent.
The busybody never heard of adoption?
No dog to shoot? LEO sadness..........................
I would have said, “But officer, they were on sale. Three for the price of one.”
LOL
What would have been a more interesting story is if he had told the officer that it was none of his business.
There was a rollback on Creole’s so I stocked up.
Could have been that public service announcement that was always on the radio about the Amber alert on a white male abducting a black girl. They played that over and over and over again.
I’d rather have the police check such things out, rather than read about three girls who were raped and murdered and nobody stopped it from happening.
The fact that the police merely questioned him and didn’t arrest him shows they acted proper, imo.
I have a white as white friend who adopted a little black as black boy. He once was tantruming at the mall and screamed : You’re not my mother!”
Took a bit to sort out.
I live in Woodbridge, VA. The location referred to is within one of about 6-or-7 “minority majority” (49% (or less) white, non-Hispanic population) Zip Codes in the east end of Prince William County. I walk at nearby Potomac Mills Mall nearly every evening; lots of interacial couples with young kids in tow. Plenty of Hispanic and East Asian families as well. Very common sight.
Nope. There has got to be some other reason for the suspicion at WalMart. Either that or else someone is just trying to cause trouble because they don’t like mixed race families. And that someone could be white or black; racism cuts both ways anymore.
someone, please, tell my why a mother or father can or should be accused of kidnapping their own child???
the intent here is to start a discussion, soooo.....
It takes a village!
(He asks us very sincerely, Hey, I was sent here by Walmart security)
What?
The County Sheriff’s Department takes orders from Walmart Security?
Maths is hard, Mister journalist!
“And the marriages themselves have increased exponentially.”
“A Pew study found that, in 2010, 15 percent of new marriages crossed racial or ethnic lines. Thirty years ago, the number was half that.”
Exponential growth, starting with 1, goes like this... 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048...
So, thirty years ago, interracial marriage was 7.5%. 30 years later, today, it is 15%. If it continues its *exponential growth*, in the year 2043, it will be 30%, in 2073, 60%, and somewhere around the year 2090, it will be 100% of marriages.
Because they abdicated their parental responsibilities to the Courts?
I see black men with their interracial kids all the time, and nobody ever assumes that the kids are stolen. Could it be that people think white men are more likely to be pervs?
Was it a Black Friday sale?
Um, unless Walmart is GIVING me money for three children, three for the price of one is extremely expensive in the long run.
