Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen.

And I will add: Going after Iraq, instead of Iran, Syria and Hezbollah? Bush's Fault.

Allowing North Korea to get anywhere NEAR nuclear technology? Bush's Fault. - We wouldn't BE having to rely on this administration if Bush had done HIS job.

We are NOT better off for the Presidency of Bush...just better of than what a Gore Presidency would have been. BUt that is NO consolation to me. He could have set the stage for an American Come-Back...and brought terrorism to it's knees. But instead, we wasted trillions of $ and thousands of lives in places through bad decisions, bad ROE's and bad strategy in a misguided attempt to bring democracy to a place which can't handle it. My college geo-political prof taught me that 25 years ago.

>>>George W. Bush kept the homeland safe for nearly eight years following the terror attacks of 9/11

I am going to disagree with you. Afghanistan? A must fight war...a war we needed to spend treasure and lives on...but yet a war which was NOT fight correctly from the start by the Bush administration or our generals. It was fought politically...and those of us who serve (or have served...I am going on 26 years) can see it a mile away.

Iraq? A waste. All it did in the long run was make Iran more powerful when in fact they needed to be dismantled. We chose the soft target in hopes democracy would spread into Iran from Iraq...which was a HORRIBLY DUMB strategy. This wasted OUR treasure and OUR lives.

These loss of LIVES and this loss of treasure WEAKENS our homeland. It scars our country. And when you do not strike fear into the heart of your enemy...you embolden them. You further strengthen their resolve. This is NOT keeping the homeland safe because even though those young men and women may be in a distant land...they are still part of our homeland. Useless death because of political strategery does not = safety at home. It empowers the enemy and that enemy will rise up and one day...you will have to deal with them here.

It really is this simple: When you fight a war (whether you start it (Iraq) or get pulled into it (Afghanistan))...you fight to win...not to win "hearts and minds if the religion of peace..." but to win. Period. If you do not...you are not keeping the people at home safe. Rather, you are putting them at even greater risk.

Pray for our country. The only thing that can save us now is genuine repentance and a return to God.

Just where was Obama when the bomb went off? What did he do, how long did he wait, did he finish what he was doing? Actually, this is the third Islamic terrorist attack on American soil on Obama’s watch, we demand some answers.

George W. Bush kept the homeland safe for nearly eight years following the terror attacks of 9/11, right up until the end of his term as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

Yeah if you ignore the guy who shot up the El Al ticket counter in LA in 2002. The guy who tried to bomb the Oklahoma football game in 2005. The guy who drove a car bomb onto the University of North Carolina campus in 2006. The bombing of the Time Square recruiting office and the Dalton Georgia law office in 2008. And, of course, his record after September 10, 2001 is hardly sterling.

Obama doesn't keep us safe. Neither did George Bush. The police keep us safe, and the FBI and all the rest of law enforcement. The do it regardless of who is in the White House. And if you look around at the rest of the world I'd say they're doing a damned good job of it.

Don't be an idiot. Bush's last deficit was about $160B -- and people panicked because he was "bankrupting the country".

Obama has had Trillion dollar deficits every year for 5 years in a row, and that's "just the sort of stimulus we need".

I was never Bush's biggest fan, but the old tired "he bankrupted the country" thing should come out of Chris Matthew's mouth, not yours.

Yeah the Iraq and Afghanistan wars had a very negligible effect on the budget. Their idiotic COIN approach to make these Islamic nations like Western democracies was a brilliant strategy that didn’t work with massive amounts of money. The lessons in Afghanistan were too recent not to comprehend. So please sir don’t call me an idiot for opening my eyes and seeing the obvious.

Afghanistan? A must fight war...a war we needed to spend treasure and lives on...

Only as a means to set up a pincer engagement (with India) of the main enemy.

Afghanistan as a standalone deserved nothing more (or less) than a punitive expedition.

True. Notice I said "needed" and not "need"...which was intentional. We should have treated those guys like we treated Dresden then been done in less than 6 months. It should have been everything AND the kitchen sink...

And the fact that folks are on here supporting Bush...when he let that criminal Karzai breath free air (and get filthy rich) shows how low we are. There was NEVER any honor in letting that guy run that country...plus it's not our job.
