George W. Bush kept the homeland safe for nearly eight years following the terror attacks of 9/11, right up until the end of his term as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. Barack Hussein Obama has now FAILED, and that FAILURE is the direct result of his hatred for America and its military, and his policies of weakness and appeasement.
Somebody had to say it, because the dinosaur Democrat "mainstream" newsrooms sure won't (although if the shoes were on the other feet they'd be having themselves a hot tub rodeo blaming the Republican President).
Can you say, "Obama FAILED"? I knew you could.

My point was simply that WE generally ASSUME that Obama believes in Freedom, Capitalism, and the constitution.

Iraq demonstrated how their terrorism meant they would see
more rather than less of us. We no longer have the “crazy
infidel” card to play thanks to Obama and his ilk. Acts of terrorism
could become more common on our shores.
And he left the border wide open. As for “compassionate conservatism” he was saying just this last weekend that Republicans would come back to it eventually.

My son is in the National Guard....Called my son getting only his recording....because of the nature of what he does... we know when he’s called it can be on moments notice and we won’t know where he is or when he’ll be back. Eventually he’ll contact me but for now I wait...

I know you think you are making a point, but you lost me there. Obviously, no thinking American, "generally ASSUMES that Obama believes in Freedom, Capitalism, and the constitution". Everything he did prior to his election to the senate and everything he has done since is bountiful evidence to the contrary.
I don’t think Obama and Napolitano take any joy from this tragedy. But I do believe that their left wing PC biases and worldview have critically hindered their ability to keep the country safe from significant threats.
