Lawmaker: 'They refuse to let us know what is going on'

Members of Congress are demanding the Obama administration explain why it is stockpiling a huge arsenal of ammunition and weapons.

The Department of Homeland Security bought more than 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition over the last year, as well as thousands of armored vehicles.

Someone on the inside of DHS will sell out the location of the warehouses and or locations which will be involved in some form of theft or other “activities’.

With ammo worth more than silver in weight its a no brainer somebody or some groups will find a way to abscond with the Federal stash.

I think Congress should ask the department about both of those issues, and I would like a full explanation as to why that has been done

Because you gave them the money, and because you were big enough pussies to allow the money to flow by CR, without a budget, for the last four years.

I’d like to know where they are keeping it. Probably not all in one place, probably dispersed for redundancy, and to be closer to where they plan on using it. Yeah, I’d sure like to know where the nearest storage site is...

Congress is as weak as a shadow, as treasonous
as Benedict Arnold, and as stupid as Bozo.

They are ONLY good at getting money for their
families and staff.

I am waiting for reliable media like N B C or the New York Times to cover this before I buy into this story.

Cearly, hollow-point pistol ammo is not for the military.
This stuff is intended to shoot US-the CIVILIAN POPULATION of the U, S, of A.
‘Course, they ALSO bought an EQUAL ammount of rifle/machine gun ammo as well.

Do Not the US House of Representatives understand that all spending provisions originate from their oversight? DEFUND - DHS, Obama Administration, EPA, DOE, NASA, DOJ and many of the other alphabetic abbreviations of the useless overlapping federal bureaucracies. The savings would be astronomical!

Duh, I forget the HR is run by Republicans who are afraid of the US Constitution and little Barry Soetoro, AKA Barack Obama, and Barry Dunham. Yes the HR is afraid of the Constitution - collectively they are spineless and have no balls. Better known as emasculated males or easier understood eunuchs whom are subservient to the emperor

How ANYONE can stay in this country with news like this is beyond me!

How anyone can continue to pay taxes with news like this is beyond me. You deplore this, yet you continue to fund it? You say you're willing to join a shooting war against it, yet you're not willing to quit working temporarily, to starve the beast quickly and peacefully?

Dumbschidts like Medea Benjamin never once imagined that they might be the ones looking at the world the wrong way through a razor wire fence. Which is precisely what history's monsters and mass-murders do withe their enablers once they achieve absolute power.

I’ve never thought Obama would use the UN to try to enforce his takeover, they just couldn’t do it against Amercan civilians, however he could strike a deal with some place such as China, along with his own security army, and pull it off. China has the armament and manpower to do it if they weren’t stopped before they got here. They’d just move a large land force here during a bogus “training exercise”. The Russians have already had training exercises here. Nuke subs have the capability to defend us from any foriegn country by themselves, but don’t they take orders directly from Obama? Citizens need to know what the hell is going on now. Ammunition, Armored vehicles, rifles, concrete caskets, detainment centers?

Hollow points are basically useless against ballistic armor. They mushroom and slow down when penetrating thick material.

My wife and I have already done that. We are only working enough to keep up our health insurance and a basic living.Once Zero is out (if he ever is) I will resume my regular workload. I am self employed, which makes this easier. We cut our satellite TV service off over a year ago, and get our news and information off the internet. We no longer watch TV at all,and read, play games, etc. to pass the evening.Has made us enjoy each other’s company more as well.

So how do you propose to starve the beast that would actually work? A couple of people not paying taxes does nothing but impose a higher tax load on the ones still working.

What you are proposing will not end peacefully either. Taxes stop we go to war.

There is a much better way - Congress, particularly the House, control the Federal budget.

Red line, cancel, all of Homeland Security's budget until they provide a detailed, verifiable, explanation of their expenditures, present and future.

Also inform other Federal agencies that if they transfer funds to Homeland Security that their budgets for the following years will also be red lined.

After all we are in the middle of a financial crises that the likes haven't been seen since the Great Depression of the 1930’s, aren't we?

Oh, excuse me, that would make the Republicans stand up and do something other than cooperating with the dimocrats.

Last thought - any more questions as to why the Senate hasn't had a budget for the last four years?

I’ve asked Missouri Senator Roy Blunt three different times - via email - what his take is on this subject. And I haven’t received a response. Thanks, Roy!

Whose? And who will they be fighting? Why?
