Music thread for all you old hippies (vanity, oh yeah)
some former hippie

Posted on 03/16/2013 3:31:44 PM PDT by West Texas Chuck

Who among us used to be one of those long-haired flea-infested dope-smoking denizens of the rock concert world?

Guilty. And recovered.

Post up some old tunes for a Saturday night.

Slipknot is pretty bad. The 2000s was a dark period for music. Terrible radio bands designed for 10 year olds like Creed, Nickelback and Linkin Park, old geezers like RHCP and U2 running on fumes, etc. Luckily it’s a new decade now and all the stale remnants from the 90s are finally fading away.

By far and away my favorite Dead tune is “Box Of Rain,” but there’s not a single decent YouTube, the studio recording is better.

So, here’s Cream instead. “Badge.”

That Hippy is nearly 75 now. Thanks for the song, I haven’t heard it before.

20 bucks will buy you what he's smoking now.

Back then it was the good stuff - Mr Leach was on top of the charts.

That's one weird tune, difficult too!

IIRC, came out around the same time as Edgar Winter: Frankenstein.
