I am more interested in the Foreign Films, Hollywood still hasn’t made a film as good as “The Lives Of Others” for quite awhile.

I think MacFarlane insulted everyone in the audience in his opening (but note obozo and politics were off the list).
That was worthwhile.

Silver Linings Playbook was prett good... if a little light.

Finlandization (Finnish: suomettuminen; Swedish: finlandisering; German: Finnlandisierung) is the process by which one powerful country strongly influences the policies of a smaller neighboring country, causing the smaller country to become like Finland was perceived by many in the West to be during the Cold War.
In other words, why celebrate the enemy?

Surprised a thread has been created for that liberal decadent cesspool known as hollywood. Our best response to these bastards are disdain, and withholding “all”, repeat all money from them.

Good question:
To the extent they are arts, that is good.
The problem is, mostly they are simply leftist propaganda.
That is the problem.
They are only half the arts.
So really, nothing.

"Do people still pay to see the garbage that Hollywood spews out?"
I think the last time I went to a theater to see a movie was with my son (aged 42), to see "Captain America." We have a drive-in not far from us, and during the summer we'll go. They show double features, and sometimes triple features.

Haven’t watched since they (in the audience—I’m talking to YOU, Nick Nolte!) gave the cold shoulder to Elia Kazan.
Artistic talent means nothing-politics rule.
In other words, that was the year it became sickeningly obvious that commies infest hollywood.
