and regular was selling for $3.69.9.

After a day shopping and having a leisure day with each other, my wife and I returned around 5 or 6 PM and saw the same station advertising regular at $3.75.9.

This is the second increase in a couple of days.

Has anyone ELSE seen increaes lately ?

I notice the same thing. I walk by a Circle K to pick up my son at school and it’s going up considerably everyday now for weeks.

Only a six-cent increase? I commonly see 30-cent daily increases.

About this time last year, the price of a gallon of gas (at the same station) went up 80 cents in 13 days.

I didn’t notice the price the last time I put gas in my car. I live in Central NY State, and was listening to the radio while on my way to Walmart today. They were saying that there will definitely be an increase in the price of gas, and that 4$ per gallon or more should be expected. They cited the fact that refineries aren’t able to keep up with the demand, and that with summer approaching, the special summer gas mixture usually adds 20 cents to the cost of a gallon. Color me stupid, but I didn’t know that gas companies had to create a “summer mixture,” and have no idea what the difference is. I know different parts of the country have different mixtures because of environmental issues, but had no idea there were different mixtures for the summer.

That’s nothing. Where I live in Central KY, for the last six months on three or four occasions it’s gone up between 30 and 50 cents between my morning commute and evening commute. And virtually ALL of the stations go up the exact same amount.

It will trickle a few cents at a time for weeks, and then BAM.

It’s after the election so of course it’s going up. Expect another jump for Spring Break and then more all summer long.

Gas stations are trying to find out just how high they can charge without upsetting the apple cart.

How ‘bout this: 3.11 on Saturday, 3.29 today.

Aiken County, SC. FWIW, SC has one of the lowest state gas tax rates in the country.

$ 4.18 at the Shell in Perry Hall MD on the corner of Bel Air Road and Joppa Road at 6:30 PM. Two and a half hours later it was $ 4.28.
