MSNBC talk show host Lawrence O’Donnell took aim at the Bible on his broadcast The Last Word this week, claiming that it has no place at the upcoming inauguration of Barack Obama.

In discussing the matter, O’Donnell began to claim that no one believes the Bible, and that it has no business in being a part of the Inauguration.

Following his comments, which have been reported by major news outlets nationwide, a number of Christians have expressed their disgust and disapproval.

“[W]hat he says is almost amusing if it weren’t so sick,” wrote one commenter.

“Let’s not forget O’Donnell did not voice opposition to Keith Ellison for taking his oath on the Quran,” another remarked. “But using the Bible should be avoided?”

Luke 13 (King James Version)

27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

It’s hard to say which the left hates more: the Bible or the Constitution.

The inaugural committee disinvited a preacher because in 1995 he was on record as agreeing with the Biblical view of homosexuality.

If Obama takes the oath on the Bible, isn't he guilty of a hate crime because of the verses in the Bible condemning homosexual acts?

He should use something less controversial, such as Das Kapital or Dreams from My Father.

Well, Larry is a nobody, and he doesn’t believe in the Bible.

Fine.

Lawrence O’Donnell: ‘No One Believes the Bible’

If he doesn't believe the Bible, then why would it bother him?

In reality, people bothered by the Bible DO believe it, and they are rebelling against it.

Someone should flat out nail this putz by getting him to say if and why the Bible is not credible then why does anyone “believe in” the koran

Surely the islamos would be interested in his response

Who is Lawrence O’Donnell? Never heard of him. Sounds like an idiot, though.

Gotta agree with him on that statement. Zero using the bible would be sacrilegious.
