Would Petraeus have been a candidate to make all conservatives swoon? It’s strange to me that the left and certain pundits are dancing around like they took down our greatest potential presidential candidate, or the conservative movement’s leader.

Not true apparently. The time lines I've seen state that the affair ran from last November (after Petreaus had assumed the CIA job) until July of this year, and I've also read that Clapper apparently wasn't aware of the FBI Investigation until Election day.
How about a Woodward, Bernstein and Petraeus show?
