"The Big Broadcast is a Sunday night tradition for families throughout the WAMU listening area. Each week, Big Broadcast host Ed Walker offers listeners priceless recordings of popular radio programs from the '30s, '40s and '50s. Priceless, especially, for a man whose first sentence as a child was, 'Turn the radio on.' "

Hi Everyone!

We had prolonged power failure starting the night of the hurricane, which lasted for 5 days. The storm itself was terrifying. I thought the windows would crash in, but the house held up well. Trees down all over the area, including on rooftops... The one road we use all the time finally opened today!

I tried to get a hotel, but they were totally booked. Many thanks to our daughter for inviting us to stay there. It was so cold at that time.

Like I said above, it was hellish. Well, I didn't really sleep much on Tuesday night, just tossed and turned and had nightmares. Wednesday was actually the body blow.

I'll never believe there was not have a coordinated, nationwide computer hack of voting machines and electronic results tabulation. Why? Because they can, and they are determined to hold on to their power to finish destroying our country.

Other than that, how did you enjoy the play, Mrs. Lincoln?

Vision, how was your week?

Thank the Lord you’re okay, Doc! I noticed your absence last week. Those storms can be quite scary, as I know.

I’m glad you’re back with us.

Thank you! All the democrats around here are happy. I took my 3 yr old grandson to a swim class at the community center yesterday and was chatting with a woman there.

She said their house at the Jersey shore was severely damaged. Then she said that her sister is ONE OF THOSE REPUBLICANS AND IS COMPLAINING ABOUT FEMA.

“Ordinary” democrats are senseless about the true nature of the commies that have taken over our government.

How true! Today in church our pastor talked about trying to get through Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners without fighting about politics.

That's horrible, and what I was expecting when the track was over Baltimore. We still have leaves on the trees.

So...how's the kindle?

Tuesday night was rough. I knew something was up by 8pm and by 10pm it was time to leave it be. But I had to be sedated...took a sleeping pill and while that usual works in 30 min, I was still awake 2 hours later imagining America is gone. The Takers now outnumber the Makers. Also, Maryland voted for homosexual marriage, instate tuition for illegal aliens, casinos in Baltimore, and more! That said...

I purchased a second wifi radio and if either of you have a little money and wifi you should think about getting it. It's on my nightstand...I now listen to otr every night and wake up to music from the 40s. Just LOVE this thing. From now on I won't be listening to the BB on the radio in bed, I'll be steaming.

I like the Kindle very much. Can’t really understand what all those people on Amazon were complaining about...

I’ve been downloading previews, which is a great feature. I pre-ordered Michael Connelly’s new book, The Black Box, which will be out Nov. 26. The only annoying thing is that I was high up for it on the library list, and now I’ll have to pay $14.99.

The good thing, though, is that I can read it on the Kindle when we take a vacation Dec 3, and I wouldn’t have had it from the library at that point.

I also pre-ordered the new Nero Wolfe book, which will be out Nov. 13.

At the moment I’m previewing ‘The Generals: American Military Command from World War 2 to Today.’

I’m not reading anything to do with current politics.

Yes, our country has fully turned the bend down to Hell. It’s a sickening, heartbreaking thing to watch, like a nightmare that doesn’t end.

That’s a snazzy radio, though! :-)

Cool. This is a great read if Armstrong or the TdF is of interest. After this you’ll understand all the strange stories in the news.
