I'm watching the polls and it Seems a fait accompli that our worst fears, the nightmare scenario, the anathema our forefathers feared, come to fruition. Our governmental institutions seem powerless to stop this craven, megalomaniac sociopath, who after the election the power granted to him, is the power that corrupts absolutely in the manner in which he will ratchet up the process of dismantling, eviscerating this great beloved country of ours,with a brazen impunity left unchecked where there will be no turning back for anything to be salvaged.
What in God's Name do we have to stop this relentless monster in his tracks, legally,Constitutionally...
What options do we have?
Let's not kid ourselves. This election, the way it's going, will be the death knell of us all. I am frightened by what I imagine will unravel......
I’m not trying to spin this positive, but I’ve talked with several people who think a lot differently than I do (they are in the financial industry) and they saw Romney as a long shot all along, although he would have been a good thing for the economy there would still have been gridlock in Congress. They saw Obama as more of the same as we’ve seen in the last 2 years since the Rs took the House in 2010, i.e. screwy foreign policy, a loss of status as a world power, but life goes on more-less as it is. Good chance of slipping back into recession (no GNP growth) but no chance of more stimulus fiascos.
So not great but not catastrophic. No one knows what the future holds and I see no value in despair and defeatism even though I, like Rush, live in Realville.
Sorry to share your optimism, but the most liberal Republican we could find just lost to a Marxist! The Republican party may as well switch sides and hasten our demise for compassion sake.
Guess I will be moving back to Texas then!
We didn’t get the House until 2010 and since 2010, the deficit has dropped 200 billion. As economy recovers, deficit will go down even more.

When has a Dictator, (which is what was just elected) EVER gone away legally? I’ve heard more than one person (color doesn’t matter for they’ve been both black and white) that ONLY four years won’t be enough to REALLY fix the Country...Obama needs 8, 12, 16! Years to fix things.

We got back 2-1/2%. Color me unimpressed.
I’m a lifelong Texan and have supported secession as the only way to preserve liberty for some time now.
Most Texans I talk to agree with me in private but are afraid to voice it publicly.
I will keep trying and maybe one day people will have taken enough crap and be willing to not give a damn what they are called for taking a bold position.
I think the only hope is maybe go more libertarian. I’d prefer that to the democrats.
