Vanity:Doing some raw math off of the Exit's

Doing the numbers you get from Drudge something is missing.

He lists the locked numbers as 190-191, in favor of Romney however that's impossible as fall as I can tell if you use the states listed as toss ups..you actually come up with Obama 211-Romney 191..I hazard to guess they are giving Maine 1 to Obama. Now in order for it be the locked number that means both Minnesota and Wisconsin are toss ups as well..or some other combination(Oregon possibly?)and MN 1 goes to Romney..which is actually 190-192 Romney lead.

Am I missing something?

Actually I Just figured that Maine 1 must be listed as a toss up. However that doesn’t explain Minnesota and Wisconsin.

This is only a suggestion. If you drink and have not started doing so, begin now. If you do not drink, pay no attention to those of us that do. Regardless, pay no attention to the exit polls.

I was perflexed by this as well, and frankly pissed off. Why the HELL would drudge have a headline that says things are “booming” for Obama!?!? Does he want Obama to win or what?

Massive page views.

If I was Drudge, why not? It works.

I guess Drudge missed the bits about exit polls not being conducted in 19 states (Republican states, I presume) and about pollsters being instructed not to approach/interview “old, white people.” These two facts would tend to skew already tragically flawed exit-poll results.

I recall the huge drudge headline back during the evening of 2004. Kerry was ahead 15 or 20 points in VA(I forget how much exactly).

I remember feeling like crap when I went to vote after work, but did so anyway. As we all know, the result was VERY different. If I correctly recall, Bush won VA comfortably.(by 7 or 9)

To HELL with the exit polls. Pay them no attention.

I would advise anyone to wait until polls close for a state you want to watch, and go to their website and watch the results in real time as they are reported. That’s the real deal.
