I agree. The polls are skewed and the MSM is lying to us about the ‘razor-thin’ margins between the candidates. It will all come to nothing when Romney wins with a comfortable margin of victory on Tuesday.

I wish he would have come out and said “We have a clear path to victory, but it will take every conservative voter to come out and stand against liberal policies” The statement he made does nothing to increase turnout.

Wouldn't it be ironic if the media claims drive higher turnout for Romney because people will be anxious to make sure he wins instead of getting complacent and staying at home?

I worked on the Reagan campaign in ‘80. Same vibe: the liberal media is missing the dynamic shift: Republicans are MUCH more motivated, Democrat intensity is depressed, and independents dislike the incumbent. The other side hopes for a repeat of the last election. Won’t happen.

Being ever the pessimist, I say that if Romney doesn't win this by a greater margin than Obama "won" in 2008, I see it as a defeat for America.
That a Party can get away with "booing" God, disparaging marriage, denigrating the killing of our ambassador as a "speed bump," sexualizing everything, especially women and children, etc. etc. etc. and still not lose by an epic landslide is, to me, a loud death knell for this country.

The numbers are actually pretty easy to believe. If Romney has 43% that will vote for him no matter what and Obama has 42% that will do the same, that leaves 15% "undecided". If they break 2-1 against the incumbent (not an unreasonable assumption - see The Incumbent Rule), that gives Romney a 6% victory.
With regards to the EC, the 100-120 margin is consistent with the modeling by the two Colorado professors who have been right since 1980.
I think the only question is whether it will be bigger than 6% and be a complete landslide. If most of the independents go to Romney (again, see The Incumbent Rule) and the under 34's stay home, we could be talking about a 10 point margin of victory in the popular vote.

Increased turnout only helps Obama. We want a low turnout. Romney’s voters aren’t going to vote or not vote based on reminders and motivational speeches. If you talk a random non-voter on the street into voting, he is voting for Omaba.
To: CatOwner
Please go away until election day, you clearly don’t want Romney to win.

Newt Gingrich as more political savy and experience than half the folks in America ...
Send your "reasoned response" when you've ...
1) Captured the U.S. House of Representatives (after a 40-year absence) for the GOP
2) Concieved and then PASSED and got President Clinton to pass your "Contract with America" ...
3) Taught at the U.S Army War College
4) WON the South Carolina Presidential Primary by a "landslide" ...

I believe 52/47 is a good solid call for an 0bama loss. (it would be sad should it be that close, with nearly half the electorate being dumb as a box of hammers)
God, I just hope he’s right.
SURELY our country cant be THAT stupid to RE-ELECT that bastard! If they would be so stupid, we really are gone as a nation.

I hope Newt is right.
Prior to reading this article here is an e- mail I sent to my friends:
Weds morning breakfast will certainly be different, with the Presidential election being held the day before. Things will certainly change no matter who is elected. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My prediction would be a Romney win, 52%-47%; with 1% outside of Romney and Obama going to misc. candidates etc. Romney about 310 electoral votes.(270 needed to get elected) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In the Senate race- The recent poll underdog , liberal Scott Brown and the ultra liberal Elizabeth Warren, end up in a recount in that election. Socialists always recount better than dumb Republicans so Warren will win it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

In this case, a Mass liberal is faaaaar better than a marxist mooslum.

True.
The media (back then) was left of center but could be counted on to be at times impartial in their reporting. That impartiality (along with journalistic integrity) disappeared years ago.
The worse part? There’s no shame on their parts. They still go around professing to be impartial and fair in their reporting. I might respect them more if they came out and said “Folks, you know what? We are biased very much in favor of Democrats. We fully support their agenda and candidates”.

You really offer nothing constructive - just snark and negativity in every thread. Its almost a concerted effort to paint doom and gloom.
Newt Gingrich has a bit more credibility than you as a political analyst.
In case you were not aware, an incumbent president at 47% nationally is in deep trouble so you can concern and mock all you want. Mitt Romney has worked hard to be in this position, as has his team. He has a better than 50% chance to be the next POTUS.
Take care.

Yep, that's right. Excatly right.
Conservatives "did in fact" come together and unite on the purpose ...
Unfortunately ... Myth's Wall Street Tens-of-Millions "bought" the nomination for the "Severely Conservative" Myth Romney.
Even Rush Limbaugh would agree with that assessment.
Let's fast-forward to 2016 ...
If Myth Romney governs in "any way" like he did before ...
1) Pro Gay Marriage
2) Pro Abortion
3) Pro Socialized National Health Care
then Newt's prediction will INDEED be true.
I give it a better than 65-35 chance.
See you around.
