Obama Contemplates His Failed Term as President, Chicago IL, March 2012
My fevered head ^ | October 30, 2012 | Vanity

Posted on 10/30/2012 5:42:17 PM PDT by tom h

When Obama leaves office, what will he consider, contemplate, or cogitate upon? How will history view him? Here are my thoughts.

Obama will be known as the most incompetent President in recent American history, surpassing Jimmy Carter of all people. His Nobel Peace Price will be viewed as a joke in perpetuity. His signature legislation, Obamacare, will have been overturned, showing clearly how he wasted two years of legislative time while the economy was tanking. Joe Biden's comments that Obamacare was a "big f-cking deal" will continue to ring true, as Obamacare becomes legendary, as the only piece of legislation in American history that both changed the composition of Congress and, two years later, removed a President.

Obama will sit in his Hawaiian retirement home having to live with the fact that his "elections have consequences" and "we won" comments to the Republicans doomed his effectiveness for three and a half years of his Presidency.

He will have to live with the fact that Paul Ryan, who he faced during those healthcare negotiations "live on C-SPAN," is now the sitting VP and is the true victor of the tussle that began between the two of them back in early 2010.

He will also wail and gnash his teeth over the fact that he allowed Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi to run away with their majorities and saddle Americans with another $7 trillion in debt, while successfully foisting all the blame for the debt on Obama himself. They will not be invited to his parties and will not be on his Winter Solstice card list.

Finally, he will someday punch Bill Clinton in the nose, when the Secret Service isn't looking, for having told him (Obama) back in 2009 that "the reason I (Clinton) lost the Congress back in 1994 was because I didn't pass nationalized healthcare. You have bigger majorities than I did, so press on! You'll ensure Democratic dominance for decades once it passes."

What else will Obama muse upon as he figures out how to live with Michele's nagging all day?

It would be fitting if the history books placed an asterisk after Obama’s name.

How will history view him?

A traitor. A hater and enemy of America living in the White House. The worst President in the history of the United States.

Next time, I'll try not to sugarcoat it.

He’s looking “good” today as “caring” about the people in the northeast. He said he has told government agencies to cut red tape and get it done. He flies over it tomorrow. This is giving him points. The election is so close in numbers between the two, I don’t know who will win but he’s looking good to people right now.

I don’t think Obama will think much of his time as President. He will for a time, ponder if he did enough—or if he could’ve done more damage to our country. He may watch with amusement, as the US languishes on with over 16 trillion in debt...as legislators try to undo effects of Obamacare...as Romney tries to move forward with slim margins in the Senate. There will be bitterness on the left and by association, in the media. Obama will surely smirk if there’s gridlock, and if his legislation remains. He won’t be a statesman, encouraging the country to heal, and to succeed. In the end, Obama was about the destruction of our country, not its betterment. He’ll live off whatever spoils will come his way.

Of course that depends on your point of view. If you're a Socialist, then Obama's done a great job of bringing down this paragon of capitalism and freedom called America.

I see the old boy and MaBelle hunkered down there near the
South Side ghetto, going back to the projects to check for
asbestos, maybe leading school tours not far from the old
homestead at the Museum of Science and Industry, maybe keeping
an eye on the polluting levels of the paint factory on 103rd
and the steel mills at the southern extremity of Lake Michigan,
being the chief mediator every weekend between the gangs and
their dozen murders between Fri night and Sun night. He'll be
busy, and really lending a selfless hand to the community, with
nothing personally to gain now that he has been to the mountaintop and back. Maybe.

Except Romney is at 50% which means people have to change their mind away from Romney and for Obama. Seems unlikely.

“Except Romney is at 50% which means people have to change their mind away from Romney and for Obama. Seems unlikely.”

Romney picked up people within two-three days to do that and those same ones can just as easiy go back to Hussein. I think it’s more “iffy” than “unlikely”. I don’t know which way this election will fall.

After Clinton left office, I expected a slew of "tell all" books about the real Bill Clinton. They never came. The Clinton Mafia and loyalty to the guy stopped all bad news.

Will Barry Soetero have the same juice as a failed one-term President, whose time is office decimated the Democrat Party? Will we see disgruntled staffers and officials come out with their own "tell all" books?
