A Texas schoolgirl is nursing a bruised and 'blistered' behind after she was spanked by her male vice principal. Springtown High School sophomore Taylor Santos was walloped by the teacher after allegedly letting another student copy her work. But her mother, Anna Jorgensen, has complained to the school, furious that they allowed her daughter to be brutally paddled by a man.

The teacher/principal could simply have given both people involved in the cheating a failing GRADE.

Well.... most of the female adults (teachers) won't let him spank them. And in his defense, I'm sure he only spanks the girls. At least the boys are safe.

Why is there even an option for a high school teen to choose being "paddled" over a suspension or detention?
Plus, if the student is choosing the punishment herself, how is it a deterrent, anyway?
Suppose a parent were doing the same thing - would the same school officials be calling Child Protective Services on the parent?
Suppose a homeschool parent had the same policy...?

I doubt that he ever would. The school district will cover for him and at most he will be reprimanded and his contract not renewed or cancelled.
But you have to wonder if he in fact refers to this as "normal blistering"???

There is the appearance of impropriety here, and the vice principal left himself wide open for questions as to whether he enjoyed it a little too much, when he offered up his expertise about just what a spanked rear normally looks like.
Wisdom of the policy aside, the vice principal is an idiot at a minimum and possibly could be deriving some sort of sexual thrill from this. Can him. Now. Hopefully this will stave off any lawsuits. You know there are other girls who will come forward after this.

However, the fact is that child abuse and sexual abuse in schools has been a growing concern and there is a great awareness among the public of the problem. The recent PENN STATE controversy comes to mind.
How in the world could this VICE PRINCIPAL be so DIMLY AWARE of what is going on in the Educational Field and LIFE in general (heck, even Law Enforcement requires that only FEMALE COPS pat down FEMALE SUSPECTS) that he thought SPANKING a 15 year old girl would not be a possible ISSUE ?

Where is this child’s father ? If that was my daughter I would discipline her myself for cheating but I would also be paying a visit to my lawyer and the school after leaving bail money with my wife because I would be thumping this guys head.
She should have been spanked by a woman teacher/principal/coach rather than a man since at her age...15 or so 16 I’m guessing.. it most definitely does enter into the realm of sexual connotation

No. Spanking is necessary, up to a point. The parents just have to realize when the spanking is no longer effective.
There are no set rules, no set 'ages' for these things to occur, and it is up to the parents to know what is right and when.
Often they don't, and.... well... nobody is perfect. Such is being a parent.

Raising three boys here, too. IMHO, it probably has less to do with the paddle and more to do with who's administering it. I never spanked or hit. A few times, though, when the first boy was a toddler, I had to employ a firm swat to keep him from running away, out into the street, etc. I still remember him laughing at me whenever I did it. Lucky for me, they've all turned out to be good boys.
If a child deserves a spanking per policy, then the child is to be spanked. If the parent or ANYONE else comes to the school to complain, then that person will also be subdued and caned with two lashes. If that doesn't solve the problem, imprisonment. follows. We simply can not tolerate a rejection of values and proper procedure any more. No further discussion.
Since his verbal testimony is that he’s expert on the various stages of ass redness and butt trauma on underage girls...my question is, in the process of being an educator did he gain this expertise through personal experience, or “research”?

Our asst HS principal had a selection of paddles hanging on the wall behind his desk.
It tended to be the first thing one noticed upon entering.
I can personally vouch for that.. 7th grade (History).. can’t remember what I did wrong, but I know I deserved it.
Prior to this happening, I hated the teacher AND history... I dunno how it worked, but History ended up being one of my favorite subjects.. and the teacher had transfered to High School and he was one of my favorite teachers there.. I went from a c student to A+ BEFORE I got to high school.. and I thank that one spanking for it.
