Why worry about polls, use your mind and eyes! <VANITY>

Freepers are well known over the years for worrying about every poll that comes out. Too many Dems in the poll, they never poll me, all that stuff.

Well friends it is time to stop worrying about surveys because you don't need them to know what is going on. Use your mind and your eyes. A novel approach granted.

First the mind, any poll that shows Obama the four year incumbant under 50% in a state is a state he will not carry. So when you see a poll that says Obama 47% Romney 45% in xyz state, Obama is going to lose that state. Why? He is the incumbant everyone has already made up their mind about him, they know him, there is nothing he can say they haven't already heard. So he has his base of support and it will not go any higher. Romney's challenge is to give the people who don't want to vote for Obama a reason to vote for him, and usually all that takes against a detested incumbant is time and money. Romney has both.

Use your eyes, where is Obama campaigning? Is he campaigning in states John McCain carried in 08? No, he is going to his states and trying to hang on to them, Iowa, New Hampshire, Colorado, Ohio, Virginia, Florida. All states by the way he is under 50% in. What is he talking about? Is Obama talking about his success? What he has done? His record? No. Compare Obama's talking points to Reagan in 84' Clinton 96' or Bush 04'. He sounds more like Carter in 80' and GHW Bush in 92'.

I have my flame suit on and am ready to take fire but my point is "Don't worry, be happy". But get out and vote and work your ass off to get rid of this socialist fool.

You're using your brain and that's not allowed.

Get out the back, don't answer that knock at the front door ...

3 Things

1) Demographics

2) A population dumb enough to elect a man like Obama to the Whitehouse is more than dumb enough to re-elect him

From a report in Poland in a Czech newspaper that says it better then

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president.

The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.

The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

3) Demographics

Conservatives wee downright ecstatic about John McCain compared to the way we feel about Romney.

I’m not worried.

I’ve seen too many of these bi-polar types over the years here when it comes to polls. The most recent one was in Wisconsin a couple of months ago where people were so sure that Walker would lose.

Yes there are issues that are causing headaches. Yes you will get a poll saying X when it said Y a week ago.

But there are too many stages in this election left to go to get all wobbly

One need not look any farther than any given inner city mayor to see that failure and disappointment do not bar reelection.

Let me suggest a more time-consuming, but probably more accurate, way to look at polls: first ignore any poll that doesn’t give access to its internals or polls “all adults”, second ignore the published outcome and use the by-party-affiliation numbers and the actual party affiliation percentages for the state in question (if available) to come up with an outcome (if you can’t find the latter, assume 34% D, 35% I, 31% R, just for safety).

Speak for yourself. McCain was the worst pick possible, period.

And even he could beat Romney.

I don’t know if it means anything, but the place where we spend the summer in Maine is very liberal. There are Obama stickers on almost every bumper on the island.

But they all seem to be Obama 2008 stickers. Where are the Obama 2012 stickers? I hardly seem to see any of them.

And this time of year there were Obama/Biden signs in every front lawn. So far, none of those anywhere.

Maybe they just aren’t giving out any of those things this time, but that seems hard to believe.

On the other hand, I haven’t met ANYONE who thinks that Romney is a good choice. It looks to me as if a lot of former Obama voters may just stay home. But there is no observable interest in Romney, as far as I can see.

Romney is an incredibly bad candidate. Once again, the GOP seems determined to race the DNC to the bottom. We’ve seen this happen again and again.

The only exception was Ronald Reagan, and he forced himself onto the ballot despite the efforts of the GOPe to keep him off. Sarah Palin might have been another, but evidently that is not to be.

So, yes, enthusiasm for Obama is extremely low. But enthusiasm for Romney is practically nonexistent as well.

Listened to Rush yesterday and he said exactly what I was thinking about the Clinton commercial.

“Obama has a plan...” and I am thinking, as most people probably are as they pay nearly $4 a gallon for gas, “NOW Obama has a plan???? WTH has he been doing for four years???”

Even better yet, chat with your friends, family and co-workers and get a feel for how and why they are going to vote. Are there a lot of previous Obama voters that aren’t going to vote for him again. Are they going to vote for Romney? Sit out the election?

Is there anyway you can gently interject some some supporting data about just how badly this country has done under Obama? Reinforce what they may be starting to believe or feel?

If each one of us can help tip just one leaner, then we’ll be helping a tiny bit to save our once great Republic from the irreversible destruction that will be wrought be four more years of Obammunist terrorism.

To me Bob Dole didn’t exist and was essentially an invisible man. I actually hated McCain.

Simple—Look around—How many Obama -Biden stickers do you see on cars these days? Few even out here in Liberal California. Its nothing like 2008. The passion for Mr. Hope& Change is gone. This will change but —its just another sign that Obama is GONE. I predict Landslide in November! Obama will take out the whole Democrat Party with him! With him will go the PC, Environmental, Gay Mafia, gangs. Change will really happen in the first 4 months of Mitts term.
