Having been attacked by hundreds of beavers I can tell you it can be a frightening experience. The worst attacks take place in the dark when the beaver can catch unaware or unprepared. Best to have a stout timber or staff for subduing the beaver. Their hair can be luxurious and very wet at times. Plunging in after the beaver can be effective if you’re prepared to go all the way. However, sometimes beavers can be subdued by gentle stroking and whispering sweet nothings. Be careful. Once a beaver gets you in it’s grasp they seldom let go.
