Is anyone watching the Closing Ceremonies? So far, I've seen a quite eclectic selection.

I think so far, the highlight has been when Eric Idle, one of the Pythons, came out and sang "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life".

One might think that some of these themes might be visited in these ceremonies...but no, we get a Brit rock retrospective. "Pinball Wizard?" Really? looks to me they are celebrating the national health care which I might ad I know about and there is nothing to celebrate about it as my mother still lives there and was refused to have knee surgery and had to do an appeal which took time and her husband died from cancer waiting to get checked for cancer.

I’m watching it now and they had to show the commie lover from the beatles and play his imagine a world with no religion peacey crap.
Then they have the homo singing, then they have had to dust the cobwebs off these singers, WOW the best part thus far was seeing the British army march on, think that regiment was the Coldstreamm guards.

The stadium looks great and hopefully see some fireworks but thus far it’s been utter crap.

don't worry about that. They will have reeducation classes on how to properly diet and live healthy productive life. If that doesn't work no problem they will just implement what they do in japan. Remove anyone that has a waistline of more then 33 inch's from the program saving lots of money.

Back in '85, visited London with my two kids at the time and wanted to do something that only the English would do, so we went to Earl's Court to see a demonstration by the Royal Marines. Not long after the Falklands, and it was great. Nice to see that there was some competition from Earl's Court (volleyball, I believe).
