Why Obama Thought Going Toxic Was a No-Lose Strategy
American Thinker ^ | August 10, 2012 | Tom Trinco

Based on his previous campaigns, it's clear that Obama is quite comfortable with personal attacks on his opponents. From opening sealed divorce records to lies about extramarital affairs, Obama's winning mojo has been to tear the other guy down with false personal attacks while declaring that Obama himself has nothing to do with the accusations.

The latest attack by team Obama, claiming that Romney is responsible for providing free health insurance to everyone who's ever worked for any company he had any interest in, fits well into the mold of Obama's mudslinging. Obama has no problem calling Romney a killer because the wife of one employee of one company that Romney invested in died of cancer; somehow I doubt that Democrats would apply this reasoning to Ted Kennedy.

Turn on the Republican Super-Pac. Demand Obama’s college records and grades. Romney can stay out of it.

Just Obama and the Dems being themselves. This is the party of Ted “I killed MaryJo Kepechne”, Robert KKK Byrd, and Al Sharpton. Nothing is beneath them.

"JonBenet"

You must have been reading the Onion. They did a satire where Obama claimed Romney murdered her. Which proves when even the left-leaning Onion skewers Obama, he's gone too far.

The Romney campaign knife twisting and innuendo used against Newt, for example, is located where and will be deployed when? Before or after his favorables drop to around his ankles and swing states start to swing— away?

Personally, the college applications that BO submitted would be more interesting than the transcripts. Did he proclaim himself a foreign student? Where did he say he was born? What Social Security number did he declare was his?

If Team Romney didn’t know this corrupt cretin always does this when running for office, they haven’t done their homework. Acting mildly offended won’t cut it when Obama’s PAC is cutting you to ribbons Chicago style. Either Romney shows some sense of outrage that his honor is being attacked, or he doesn’t deserve the presidency.

The frightening thing about Obama is that he’s not the Antichrist. The real adversary will be just as evil but also intelligent, in contrast to the shockingly stupid and inept thug who is posing such a challenge today. Those who have to face the Antichrist are going to have it much rougher.

Axlerod and his henchmen have been successful in turning the focus of the election from the economy to Romney himself. Negativity works especially well when abetted by the MSM.

Some people fear that Romney is going to run a McCain style campaign. Others think he's going to take off the gloves after the convention and go after Zero like he went after his conservative primary opponents.

Thinking of McCain, here's a guy who can be merciless when attacking conservatives. He loves to do it. I wonder if Romney, every bit as liberal as McCain, really will attack Obama. Then again, Romney seems to want the presidency. McCain just showed up for the race and then promptly took a nap.

but the fact that he could believe that his base wouldn't be revolted by his tactics shows what sort of people he thinks support him.

There is no "thinks" about it. Knows is more like it. These ARE the people who support him. They are not only not revolted, they are cheering it on.

I know Dems that are nice people otherwise but foam at the mouth when any Republican is mentioned. And they have said flat out to my face that ANY tactic is justified if it defeats Republicans. One told me in 2000 that he believed they were right in denying military absentee votes in several counties (run by Dems) if it got Gore elected. Which BTW, those votes would have more than enough to stop the whole Gore legal challenge in its tracks.

Romney can either fight back against the Chicago style thuggery or get fitted in a Snoopy helmet and take a tank ride.

Uh, after decades of Federal Aid to Education to a VERY receptive American Public, Obama, the kid who flunked kindergarten and probably never made an “A” in any of his 3 Universities, has proven to be overqualified to fool the American Voter of 2008, and most of the voters polled today - - - .

BTW, Aren’t Semester/Quarter Dean’s lists made public in student newspapers?
