As a men’s gymnastics fan, I too find they are not covering enough of the man’s events. They covered all 4 of the girls’ events. Do they figure that the guys have too many events? Gymnastics for the all around is a sextathalon! Cover all the events! Why do we have to see every round of beach volleyball?

Also, with their “you can watch EVERYTHING live” policy, there is fine print: IF YOU HAVE SIX PAIRS OF EYES LIKE A TARANTULA. They show all six events live, on separate feeds on their app. So while you can follow USA around on their events, you miss seeing who else does what on their other events. As soon as the meet is over, all the feeds go off.

Not happy at all with their broadcasting. I hate the way they keep cutting off the gym and going back to swimming or volleyball. ugh. Gymnastics, especially men’s, is one of the hardest, most amazing sports of all. People love watching it. So bleeping SHOW it, as uninterrupted as possible.

Thankfully I have a DVR. I can watch the events I want to watch and avoid about 90% of the night-long coverage of things like synchronized diving and gymnastics. Gymnastics is as way over-covered in summer as figure skating and ice dancing in winter.

I watched the Men’s team final and didn’t see this. Did NBC air it? Did I step away from the tv for the 2mins that they may have aired it?

For events they intend to show on the NBC evening programming, they pull many of them off the Web, so you can’t watch until after the NBC evening programming.

Yesterday, NBC began inserting commercials in their web streams. It was irritating, as some of the commercials over-ran the action in the events. It also messed up the Youtube feeds.

So far this morning, NBC seems to have removed the commercials from the live streams.

Twitter #NBCfail keeps up with the ills of NBC, including them running spoilers in their promos and news before the events are broadcast in the NBC evening programming.
