lacking intelligence : stupid

Etymology: alteration of English dialect gaumless, from gaum attention, understanding (from Middle English gome, from Old Norse gaum, gaumr) + -less First Known Use: 1883

Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

Well, the gormless Nancy Pelosi has stepped in it again with her crass, anti-Semitic remarks about Republican Jews and Republicans in general. I notice elsewhere that she has a new Archbishop who will be installed on the Feast Day of St. Francis. His Italian name translates to "Heart of a Lion". already had my chickfila today. i googled to make sure of what time they opened since breakfast was going to be my only opportunity today, and was able to go thru the drive thru at 6 am. my entire family will each be eating at least one meal there today.
