I was there along with some other fellow FReepers. What an event! It did my soul well to hang out with over 65,000 motivated Patriots. If you think the Tea Party is dead, think again. It is flying at Mach 3 under the government controlled media radar! Next stop will be a yet to be announced event in Ohio. Last time I knew Ohio was expected to be a "swing state" - hmmmm. Glenn really brought it last night and Ohio is in for a treat!

“one of the most polarizing figures in America: Glenn Beck”

Hey affirmative action’d “reporter” Solis:

Is Domingo Garcia “polarizing”? How about John Wiley Price?
Obama? The Clintons? George Lopez? The Mayor of LA? Eddie B. Johnson?

Just curious if you’d use the same derogatory term if DFW was unlucky enough to have these speaking in town?

All these words of praise for such a (ahem) polarizing figure?

You're way off the CBS script.

I wanted to go but we just drove cross country to move back to Arizona in early June. We were hoping the timing of our house sale in NC would coincide with his rally. But it sold too early (I’ll take that though!)

Like him or loath him, Beck can pull an audience and deliver a strong message.

I am glad that so many GOP leaders including Mittens are equally good. /sarc

Kudos patriot Gabrial.

Yes, those insignificant gatherings of the dying breed of Tea Partiers and other freedom loving Americans are really bummers, aren’t they? /s

You nailed it. In Obamastan if you 1) are religious and 2) love America, they would have you believe you are “polarizing”. If you reject Christian values and hate America, they would have you believe you are mainstream as defined by our current “leadership”.

And yes, they are 100% wrong!

I can translate biased reporter-speak.

polarizing = dynamic
controversial = doesn’t have to lie to make sense.
right wing = non-marxist
tea party = those who do not voluntarily send all the money to Obama because he knows better how to spend it.

“You’re way off the CBS script.”

You have that right. There was nothing “polarizing” about last night. Just Americans celebrating America. And how the left hates that.

It’s weird that we’ve never heard SeeBS refer to Barry the Kenyan Guy as being “one of the most polarizing figures in America”. Barry is probably THE most polarizing figure in American history!

Sorry to hear that, it was spectacular. I don’t know this for sure, but someone stated you can watch the whole thing for free if you sign up for free GBTV 2 week trial and then cancel after you watch it. They had production quality cameras filming the entire event so I bet the video is pretty good.

I had not paid much attention to him before and went kind of on a whim because a friend told me he was going and it only cost $10. One of the interesting things was he never mentioned the name of a single politician in any of his speeches. Not a one.

Glad you got to attend the event. Bet it was great.

What were some of the ‘priceless’ historical documents or artifacts that Beck was trumpeting on his radio show?

If you reject Christian values and hate America, they would have you believe you are mainstream as defined by our current “leadership”.

Unfortunately, Beck is not a Christian. He believes that God was once a man, had physical sex with Mary, that Jesus and Lucifer are "spirit brothers" and that he will be a god someday with his own planet populated by people who will worship him. He also believes that Joseph Smith will be sitting alongside Jesus on Judgement Day.

My co-author and I were there as well, at our booth for our updated book Pursuing Liberty, and for the closing events last night.

I loved how Beck had all of those “show and tell” items, concrete proof of our nation’s proud history. And I loved the use of a rock band, a gospel choir, and a chamber orchestra for all styles of music.

And best of all, not a “fellow traveler” in the bunch.

Yee haw!

You are most welcome. Another interesting thing I noticed were all the different tee shirts people were wearing. There were a lot of “Restoring Love” tee shirts, but then a huge variety of other organizations represented. There were tee shirts from churches, synagogues, motorcycle clubs, branches of the the military, private schools, Tea Party groups, other conservative groups, etc., and they were from all over the country. I met some folks from Kansas and Missouri and even a family that had come from India! This was not a homogeneous group. A real cross section of America and other countries.

Even though Obama likely had more to do with filling Cowboys Stadium last night than Glenn Beck did, there really was no direct verbal attack on Obama. Beck's speech covered a lot of ground, but the core of it was his opinion on how we should act as Americans. Especially how we should preserve the inheritance we have received from our forebears. Of course, this is what Obama wants to destroy; proving your point of Obama being the most polarizing figure in American history.

A few that I remember:

A sister of the Liberty Bell cast by the same company and at the same time as the original (without the crack though)

The first copy made from the original Declaration of Independence

A blood-soaked timber support from a surgeon's table at the battle of Valley Forge

A desk used by Abraham Lincoln

Dwight Eisenhower's battle helmet (with 5 stars) from WW II

Babe Ruth's suitcase

A Honus Wagner baseball card

A letter from Ronald Reagan asking his daughter Patty to contact him (she never did)

Don’t forget one of eight remaining Bibles printed by the US Congress after we won our Independence.

“What were some of the ‘priceless’ historical documents or artifacts that Beck was trumpeting on his radio show?”

Well, he had Abraham Lincoln's actual desk. There were always guards around that. He had a plank of wood that was from an operating table at Valley Forge stained with the blood of many Patriots. There was a tree stump from the Civil War that had a cannon ball and musket shot embedded in it. There was a painting never before seen in public of George Washington praying. There was a full size replica of the Liberty Bell. A copy of the Declaration of Independence. A sign that was carried by Martin Luther King. The helmet that General Eisenhower wore on D-Day. The most expensive baseball card in the world. Babe Ruth's suitcase he used when traveling. There was some other stuff, but these were the items I remember off the cuff.
