Medal of Honor recipient slams Supremes
WND ^ | July 25, 2012 | Maj. Gen. Patrick Brady

Posted on 07/25/2012 8:39:28 PM PDT by jwsea55

The Supreme Court recently opined (before they skipped town) on three issues important to America: immigration, health care and military honor (the Stolen Valor Act). I use the word opine because that is what we got – the opinions of nine politically appointed elites, political hacks if you will, as they tried to wrap the Constitution around their biases. Common-sense Americans believe they got most of the three decisions wrong and for good reason; they are not common-sense Americans.

We are in trouble. We have a professorial, rhetorical celebrity for president, a commander in chief who knows not the difference between a Corps and a corpse, who has a remarkable contempt for the law and the Constitution; a professorial elitist Supreme Court that rewrites laws and the Constitution to suit liberal agendas; and a Senate that has not passed a budget in three years. But of the three branches, the most dangerous to constitutional America is the Supreme Court.

As Thomas Jefferson said: “… the germ of dissolution of our Federal Government is in the constitution of the Federal Judiciary – an irresponsible body (for impeachment is scarcely a scare-crow), working like gravity by night and by day, gaining a little today and a little tomorrow, and advancing its noiseless step like a thief over the field of jurisdiction until all shall be usurped from the States and the government be consolidated into one.” President Lincoln warned about the dangers to a people ruled by courts.

Good find! Thanks.

General Brady needs to be on Romney’s Cabinet, say the Department of Justice?

How many of our founders would have accepted the notion of public servants passing a law from which they remain exempt?

Thanks for adding a bit of humor...Romney appoint someone like this...hmmmmmm.

In his wife's words, they didn't know a Republican before 1992. He is a very pragmatic guy with left of center leanings and understands the mechanics of business. He's actually a decent person. He needs a conservative congress to keep him in line...otherwise he will bend to the liberal media.

It is sickening to see how the middle and lower classes have struggled over the last 40 years while the politicians set themselves up for life. "Both" sides of the political aisle have passed laws shipping jobs offshore. Some jobs that can only be done on our soil have even been exported.

Meanwhile, in California's Assembly we have politicians self-compensating themselves $180k+ per year, coalescing power for themselves and pretending they care about the middle and lower classes. Let's go back to Federal and state part time legislatures and have people in government actually have to live under and within the laws they subject to the rest of the Country.

May God have mercy on this Country and those that struggle to protect it.

That is the reason why they have become black robed dictators instead of impartial judges following the Constitution.

On the up side, more and more State's are passing or attempting to pass legislation that pretty much is about NULLIFICATION of Fedgov mandates.

I, and others, have been waiting for the States to re-assert their 10th Amendment rights for some time.

Personally, I think there will not be a new REVOLUTION of individuals against the over-reaching Fedgov, but a STATES' RIGHTS revolution through political and economic means.

Remember, there were 26 States that sued against Obamacare. Although we lost in the USSC, that doesn't mean the States can't just ignore the law. If enough States just say no, what is the Fedgov going to do?

Yes, I know so many here talk of CWII or RVII, but actually, no one has the stomach for that in this age.

STATES' RIGHTS AND THE 10TH AMENDMENT IS OUR WAY BACK! IT WOULD ONLY TAKE A FEW JUST TO SAY NO AND STOP THE FEDGOV LEVIATHAN!

...but then how does someone decent run such a negative campaign...can't he win on his own ideas?

The Supreme Court now has three distinct factions: 4 liberals, 4 conservatives, and 1 moron.

Our Country owes a debt of gratitude to those like you that have served.

Interesting perspective! What about NY, CA, IL, MI, WA, OR and MA? That is one huge electoral block. It is hard to see those states abandoning or changing their current paths. I am thinking it may have to start on the local level. We are in for a very long road.

” - - - He is a very pragmatic guy with left of center leanings and understands the mechanics of business.”

Well, that is two out of three.

BTW, who in the House or Senate has the backbone of a Major General, has literally laid his life on the line for America, understands the mechanics of business AND calls out THE NINE SUPREMES?

Who in DC also says “ - - - But of the three branches, the most dangerous to constitutional America is the Supreme Court. - - - ?”

If Gen. Brady is not a lawyer, so much the better for him to be the Attny. General. Surprised? It is really simple: Lawyers do NOT obey laws, they just re-interpret them to fit their best interests, witness Traitor John Roberts when he turned SCOTUS into Traitor John’s Supreme Tax Court.

Roberts, Reid and Obama are the only three people in DC that make decisions now - - - .

BTW, BTW, the ENTIRE US Federal Government is 16 TRILLION dollars “Left of Center.”

If I recall correctly, that’s more than the US Congress salary of around $175,000 + other perks. ....No wonder CA is nearly bankrupt!

I've always felt that any law passed should apply DOUBLE (I realize "double" is hard to apply to some concepts) to all elected officials and institutions, and further that anything restrictive or punitive not kick in against the public until THEY'VE been living with it for five years. If something is that necessary or that beneficial, then surely they'd not mind. Anything involving financial payments would obviously be excluded. If they can't endure it at double strength, we shouldn't have to live with the normal version.
