No. I had to look it up to see what it was.

I found, FYI, the following, though.....

As an aside, it should be noted that doctors will sometimes describe certain patients with features identical to Cushing's syndrome as having 'Cushingoid' features. Typically, these features are occurring as side effects of cortisone-related medications, such as prednisone and prednisolone.

What is that? What have your doctors told you, just curious.

Yes I could look it up, but I would prefer first hand info.....from you.

Look up Dr Jho in Pittsburg PA. He is a neurosurgeon that specializes in surgery of the pituitary.

But no I do not have it.

I don't have it but I worked for 20 years at the major Boston hospital that literally wrote the book on treating Cushing's.I see you're in Alabama so you're not *that* far from Atlanta,New Orleans,Nashville or Houston. All in all when diagnosing and treating diseases like that the best care is found at major hospitals/medical schools.Emory in Atlanta,Ochsner in NO,Vanderbilt in Nashville and Baylor in Houston are the places I'd be considering although travel of that sort can be difficult.

I know you didn't ask for "advice" but....

Good luck regardless.

Thanks.

Had made an appointment with a neurologist at UAB for tremors. Went off some medication that were causing that, but still have the appointment. He can at least diagnose.

Seem to have many of the symptoms and just wanted to communicate with someone who has gone through the diagnosis and treatment.

Live in Huntsville, but have been using the doctors affiliated with the Kirklin Clinic at UAB. Am seeing a nationally known and often published neurologist there (made the appointment a couple of months ago for something different, but probably related)

Thanks again. We are about 90 miles from Vandy. May end up going there if I can't get answers from UAB. I have not felt well since returning from Iraq in 2010 and am feeling progressively worse. Our regular physician wasn't reliable (had her own health and family problems). Have been seeing a PA for the last year and a half. Problems have progressed past his skill set. Finally able to get a new PCP physician who is associated with UAB in Huntsville. An internist whose creds look impressive. First visit went well. We'll see.

cushings is a nasty disease. it originally was found in horses. it is somewhat common in k-9 . we lost both of our pomeraians to it they were litter mates . basically a cancer of the pituitary gland . very expensive treatment when issuing meds was suppose to handle with rubber gloves and pregnant women was not to handle at all . ironically our next door neighbor granddaughter contracted it during this time weight gain frequent urination and the outcome wasn’t good . this was about 5 years ago . hopefully some advances has been made

I have no idea how you feel about alternative treatments. But Essiac has been around for a long time, and has a good track record with all sorts of cancers and cancer analogs. The problem is finding the four herbs from a good provider, in the right proportions and fresh. I've found this one reliable, though I am sure there are others. essiac works fast, and works deep and works well, IMO. Best wishes.

Not even close to being a cancer.

The only information I have is the suggestion that the patient read Dr Pelletier’s classic (most recent edition) “Mind as Healer, Mind as Slayer.”

My cuz had a pit. tumor removed years ago. There’s been a lot of progress. Will pray that you are lead to the very best medical care. That your life is full and that each day peace and joy will surround you. Keep us posted.

Sure do miss the daily dose where we could gather and “just talk”. Express our concerns, offer our support, share our joys....Dad always called it the “back yard fence” America just has a big back yard.
