I'll speculate that when Brian Ross discovered that the shooter was a Tea Party member he began to salivate excessively, had an orgasm and broke a finger trying to get Stephie on his cell phone. I'll further speculate that Ross spent zero time attempting to verify the truth of his suspicion.

It wasn’t about being first. Sitting at my laptop, it took all of two minutes on google and intelius to ascertain that the tea party Holmes was not the shooter. All Ross did was tap the following into google;James Holmes: Aurora:Tea Party. It was never about being first. it was about the narrative.
