Vanity: Best protective iPad case?

Posted on 07/17/2012 5:55:40 PM PDT by goodwithagun

I received an iPad 2 for my birthday, but it will really be a family device. I need a protective case for it, considering my son is almost four, my daughter is almost one, and my husband still uses a TracFone because of his track record with phones. Any suggestions?

That’s awesome, I hope one day when I have kids I can have a situation like that! It occurred to me after I read more of the thread that if I had a military grade case that I would truly have no problem handing one off to a two year old.

DragonBox is a tile matching game. Kids have fun playing increasingly complex combinations and rules. What they don’t know is they’re learning the abstracted essence of algebra. Geared to 8 year olds, my 4yo is making good progress.

I hope you find something that is inexpensive and wasn’t made for the purpose by the ever present opportunistic manufacturers of overpriced ripoffs!

Lol it’s a gift I would just spring for the extra cash and get a military grade one. I’m just a single guy living at home with no kids fwiw.

I love my Zagg but it’s a keyboard and case too. My husband uses a Grove, but I don’t know if it’s very heavy duty. On the other hand it’s quite awesome looking.

Yes. The one drawback is that the rubbery protective case makes it more difficult to get into a snug pocket, as on a pair of jeans etc.

On the other hand it also makes it less likely to fall out of a shirtpocket or jacket pocket and, if it does, it is a lot less likely that the phone will be hurt.

It also has the dandy built-in screen protector and a belt-carrier as well, the latter which I have used while on long conference calls.

BTW my IPad, in my Zagg fits neatly into a Vera Bradly bag I bought specifically for that purpose. Since you’re a girl. :)

I would think so...the GA is less than 1 mm thick.

Try testing it by dropping a bowling ball onto it, while it's covering your Ipad and see if it?s protected. If it doesn't protect it, . . . Duh?

ROTFLMAO . . .

I am so livid over the STUPID iphone cover I could spit. I encourage everyone to get together and form a class action to sue them for creating a phone that has to have a one hundred dollar repair every few months. It is freaking outrageous and irresponsible. These kids that have to have them have cuts on their fingers and faces because the stupid covers break. maddening.
