For weeks, all we've heard in reference to the media/Obama-led attacks against Romney's so-called outsourcing and offshore accounts is the following: "Romney needs to respond Romney doesnt have a response It's time for Romney to respond." Across the media spectrum, we've heard this from Obama's Media Palace Guards on Twitter, in op-eds disguised as straight news, and from television's talking heads. The media has quite purposefully turned this call for Romney to respond into an incessant drumbeat. But
It's a trap.
You see, the outsourcing charge is a bald-faced lie and the offshore-account charge is nothing more than a smear. It was the Washington Post that started the outsourcing lie and it was an Occupy-supporter in Vanity Fair who started the offshore-account smear.
A lie is a lie is a lie. . . .

@ John Sununu Laughs at Andrea Mitchell Defending Obama's Use of Bogus Romney Outsourcing Claims
Rope-a-D0pe.
Exactly.
Refusing to distance himself from Trump was smart, I gotta admit. If he has the guts to mobilize birthers, even if it’s with Trump as surrogate, he would get votes he otherwise would not.
I think that Romney did respond to the offshore account smear, but not forcefully enough. Too many people are financially illiterate and don't understand that a blind trust is specifically designed to avoid any appearance of a conflict of interest.
An overseas investment is a recommended diversification strategy for anyone with a 6-digit portfolio, and a requirement for a 9-digit portfolio. About 10% of my IRA is in US mutual funds that make overseas investments.
A trustee for someone like Romney would likely cut out the middleman and make those investments directly, in benchmark currencies like the Euro and Swiss francs. If he doesn't invest overseas and wasn't specifically directed to not do so, he/she wouldn't be doing his fiduciary duty.
The real question is how much does Romney know, how much can he prove conclusively, and when and where would be the best time to go nuclear with it.
And, of course, does Mitt have the testicular fortitude to push the button.
Keep in mind, when the MSM and chattering class say Romney must respond, what they really mean is “he must respond so he’ll quit talking about the horrible economy”. I’ve listened to a few of Romney’s stump speeches and he is SCATHING on Obama and his economy. The libs, including all the sycophants in the MSM, know this and realize the damage Romney is inflicting.
Hang tight folks and DON’T TRUST ANYTHING FROM THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA. We’re less than four months away, the economy has zero chance of getting better, and our Dear Leader is going to get really ugly.
Gov. Sununu showed how it is done: Laugh.
Laugh and respond with the facts. And when the presstitute doubles down, as they have to do... (because that’s all they know how to do), laugh again and keep hammering home another fact.
Just keep laughing *at* the clowns in the media. Their skin is thinner than a lambskin condom.
The one that tickles me is Axelrod saying Romney is the most “secretive” candidate ever (since Nixon?). And this from a toady of a PRESIDENT that spends $2,000,000+ in legal fees to seal his birth certificate and refuses to show his college transcripts. How do these people say something like this and not burst out laughing at themselves?
I love the discipline I’m seeing from Team Romney.

Amen. And, they are not only disciplined, they can be tough when they need to.
BINGO!!! LAUGH AT THEM!!! LAugh AT THE stupid media questions!!!
i PRAY you are right.
There's no point spending a lot of money now, in July, when most people aren't tuned in.But he took a vacation! He sat in a boat!
OMG! OMG!
He took a vacation! He sat in a boat!
--(Many on FR in recent days.)
By law, Romney can only spend primary campaign money now. He starts campaigning after the nomination. Obama isn't in a primary campaign, and can blow his wad now.
Mr. RomneyCARE is hiding because he is
Mr. RomneyCARE, author of DeathPanels and ObamaCARE.
Go Mr. ROmneyCARE, install more STATISM for the GOP.
Obama is playing checkers while Mitt is playing chess...
It is summer. The only people paying attention now are political junkies who already have their mind made up.
Here's the thing: Obama is going to veto the Defense Appropriations Bill because it does not triple the health care costs to our nations veterans.
Obama Thanks Military for Service by Tripling Tricare Premiums
In two months or so when Romney starts campaigning, this will be a decided issue. Obama will win.....again, and for veterans it be "forever." There will be no repairing this.
If there was ever an issue where a Republican presidential candidate could nail Democrats to the wall on - - this is it. It speaks of their hypocrisy, ingratitude, double standards, hatred, and corruption.
I cannot believe Republicans are going to let Obama and the Democrats get away with it. But they are.
The reason Obama wants to destroy health care for our veterans is so they can be the first ones forced into his ObamaCare "exchanges" that will help legitimize socialized Deathcare for everyone else.
On top of this, a weeping father of a veteran who was severely wounded in Afghanistan approached Romney during the primary season and warned about all of this. Romney gave a very eloquent reply, and it was all caught on tape.
But now that the Republicans in Congress are about to roll over for Obama and the Democrats again on this crucial issue, Romney is silent.
Dead silent.
It reinforces my original thoughts on Romney. He isn't a Conservative, and he doesn't want to be President for the right reasons.
Romney wants to President because he thinks it would have made his father proud of him. And that's it.
Here is a tailored made issue that would break Obama and the Democrats if Romney hit it hard - - and he is on the jet-ski instead.
Your views on Romney and his conservatism are another issue. As governor of Massachusetts, he compromised on many issues. I don't know his heart. I do know his voiced opinions on many things. They are conservative. I believe he will follow through on them.
There are a demographic of Americans who simply will not vote for some rich guy. You’ll not change their minds.
