You’re telling someone with chronic liver failure it’s ok to take acetaminophen? That’s pretty bad advice. It doesn’t matter whether you take it with alcohol or not-it’s still toxic to the liver, especially in someone with this problem.

It goes without saying that someone with CLF should not be drinking.

As for meds, prescription or OTC, someone with CLF should not be taking ANYTHING without approval of his/her doctor. Plenty of advice on this thread, but a lot of it is questionable.

And yes, the only safe analgesics are narcotics in this case.
