Even with all this damage, we can do, as Mark Levin suggests, try to correct it on an incremental basis, keep up the energy, the fight and the resistance for as long as it will take, since the option is disastrous.

"I have been listening to Rush Limbaugh for over 20 years and he is now driving me crazy. His unrelenting negativity re: the Supreme Court fiasco is just crazy."

The fact that we have a few commentators only talking about it instead of millions flooding the streets shows mole hills are made from mountains. He needs to keep talking about it.... everyone should be.

Like Joe Biteme said.. this is a big F'n Deal

I stopped listening to Rush for a few years the day he endorsed President Clinton. Didn't know it was all just tongue in cheek until I started listening again in 1999.

He's BETTER than ever!

Is you a man, or is you a mouse? - Prep what you can, don’t argue with the wife; just smile that poop eatin’ smile we all love so well, and prep what you can. Bring home one prepper item a day. Just do it!

Meantime, relax and enjoy what you are blessed with.

What else has Rush done to counter obama except talk?

Uh, that's what Rush does.

He's a talk show host.

He talks.

He's good at it.

He also makes personal appearances and gives money to causes, but what he is known for is talking.

I wish every conservative (including me) did their job as well as Rush does his.

It’s Mitch McConnell who should be driving ALL of us up a wall. Instead of coming out fiery and vowing to repeal this monstrosity, he comes out tired and beaten and says the task will be almost impossible. Then resign your position, Mitch, and let someone with more fire power lead the charge if you are so incapable.

Hang on here DL... This is what I think is going on...

* Rush is the consumate gentlemen and toastmaster and rarely calls out Republicans who suck by name.
* After all, they still could enact the Fairness Doctrine because in their heart, the likes of McConnell might harbor a weasel.
* So he goes on a rant about how this is a mess, and by extension people get active....

That activity? My guess McConnell's phones are melting as we speak.

I understand Rush being gentile, but ya got to love Levin who is not the number 1 talk show host, who has called for new leadership in the House and Senate.

Yes it is time for Mitch to go, Rand Paul are you Listening?

I hope someone(s) has the cohones to run against him for the slot and if they loose they resign and declare themselves and Independent just to keep these Morons on their toes, they should not take some of our members with more Tea-Party leanings, and us for granted..

exactly...same thing with FR...I disengage regularly to clear my head.
I found out that I was a registered Republican but that I was really a small government constitutionalist with libertarian leanings...wow...didn’t know that.
I realized that R and D representatives are ALL messed up and have become completely enamored with the idea that the big federal government can fix anything.
The list goes on and on...
It is fun to tune in to Fox, Rush, and other commentators just to see what is going on...
Kind of like Zig Ziglar advises...get up in the morning read the Bible and the Newspaper, that way you know what both sides are up to.

Like others, I have also been listening to Rush for well over 20 years and there is one consistent quality about him — he is entertaining, whether it is positive or negative. If you think the Rush has all the answers, or that he is a prophet for Conservatives, think again. Rush provides ideas that are provocative, entertaining, funny, sad, etc. and he’s the best of the talkmasters’ breed. If he made you mad or frustrated today, then he succeeded. We will keep listening to him, and he knows that...

the fact that the electorate in this country is even capable of electing such a monster bodes ill for the future of the Republic.

The leftists trashed GWB, the GOP, and America for eight long years. Then Obama came along with no paper trail and no resume, totally misrepresented himself, and got the biggest media push in history. The GOP lost its nerve, nominated someone worse than Romney (McCain), and we got beat.

Since then virtually everything at the ballot box has gone our way.

The USSC Obamacare ruling is a crime and a tragedy, but it is also hated by many, loved by fewer, and is excellent campaign material.

We here at FR should be defiant, confident, fired up, and excited about November.

There is exactly one reason we are not.

It is not because Romney is a mediocre (true) or terrible (false) candidate.

It is because this site is dominated by a deranged, obsessed, lying ant-Romney cult.

That is the God's-honest truth.

You can’t sugar coat what just happen. We have traitors and cowards in DC and they’ve taken over. The GOP has no balls and probably in on it all along.

Wonder how he feels about that prediction now

And with that statement you have no credibility. None.

It is because this site is dominated by a deranged, obsessed, lying ant-Romney cult.

I only see that this CONSERVATIVE site is infested with lying, libtarded, unprincipled, buttsnorkeling mittbots and RINOs who would as likely be kissing obie's hinders if only he had an (R) after his name.

And I'm all too happy to point that out.

I have stated the condition under which mitt can earn my vote. One issue that he can take a stand, out of all the weaselly issues he has flip flopped and lied about - and I will vote for him.

I want to know what it will take for someone who claims to be a Conservative to vote for a Conservative. What will convince you to vote for a Conservative instead of a liberal?

Politics are local...Rush doesn't know what's happening in ALL locales. His rant today cause me to turn it off too, not that he doesn't have a legitamate point for some.

Here is what is happening locally
1. My neighbors, who are none political union members, have all updated the voter registration so they can vote AGAINST BhO.

2. In 2010 ALL the openings in all county races were won by R. Forty years ago you couldn't find an R who would even run.

3. Local owner (Gossip) of the country store with her extended family who had once run the local D have all converted to R.

4. Indiana established and won their case in SCOTUS for voter ID, thereby helping to eliminate the bus traffic from Chicago that pushed D into office and influenced our state election.

5. My congressional district in now R. Although Lee Hamilton was a conservative his predecessor certainly was not.

6. Hoosiers voted out long time RINO Dick Lugar and replaced him a tea party backed candidate, RIchard Mourdock.

Yes, there are many reasons to be upset with what is going on. But two of my forefathers signed the Bradford Accord which the Declaration of Independence used as a model.

American don't like taxation, they don't like unethical, immoral behavior. They truly wanted a change in DC and some even believed 0 was talking their language. He wasn't! They know that now. Roberts just threw gasoline on an ember. I know Rush's hot air is just fanning the flame.

My prayer is that the same sparks is glowing through out all of your communities and states as it is in mine.
POLITICS IS LOCAL!

God has Blessed America! We needed a wake up. We've got it....Spread the sparks ignite the flame of freedom.

When Republicans are next in power then that would be the ideal time for a large state, or group of states, to secede.

There would be bloodshed if it was done when dems are in power.

This will happen sometime in the next 50 years no matter what. The country is in a downward socialistic spiral. People will demand a place to escape to.

The new nation would thrive, the old nation would soon collapse and state after state would petition to join the new free nation. The old nation would eventually print money like Weimar Germany and the value of the old dollar would drop to a tiny fraction of what it is now.

Yes, I know it won’t happen...what I fear will happen is some sort of civil war...very bad business that.

How can you win anything when the lefties have the court cheating on the Constitution, ignoring it, and making up the rules as they go along? You cannot win a game whereby the other side can make up the rules. You can only stop playing that game and start a new one.

Not history major, eh? ;^)

The last time states seceded, the Republicans were in charge... and it got juuuust a little bloody (more killed in 3 years than in all other US wars combined).

The truth is that there are very very few examples in the history of humankind where a section of a nation (or a colony) tried to break away peacefully and they weren't attacked within a short period of time. It's a human nature thing. It has nothing to do with individual political philosophy. (Among the reasons our Constitution was such a n incredible document is that it accounted for the fact that governments, of ALL stripes, behave in much the same way... inexorably seeking more power and control, and rarely, if ever, ceding any.)

Rush, like many people, still believe we have a representative republic in which the control of our nation's leadership can be made peacefully at the ballot box.

I no longer share that opinion. I believe that our only options are for the conservative states to either secede or engage in civil war, the sequel. IMO, our government is irreparably broken, the system is fraught with corruption and changing the faces in Congress or the WH doesn't change the corrupt system they have created.

I'm not sure there are enough of us yet.

The basic problem is that as long as  the establishment continues to allow elections to take place as scheduled, people will continue to believe that their vote actually means something. This gives the vast majority all the fig leaf they need to believe they are still free.

Personally, I believe we are further along than the graphic below indicates.

Where are you really?

Sigh. I know this will sound odd, but I look around me every single day, and think:

“This is all going to go away.”

The hot water coming out of the shower head.
The weekend drives in the car to remote destinations.
The security of a locked door.
The supermarket shelves full of produce and products.
A fridge full of food and ice.
The Internet.
Toilet paper.
Aspirin.
The rule of law.
A job.
Soap.
A paycheck.
Gasoline.
Heating.
Air conditioning.
Fresh potable water from the tap.
Pets.
Deoderant.
Elaborate dinners.
Security.

And much more. Every time now, when I walk into a grocery store and see stuff packed floor to ceiling, I think: “It is all going to go away.”

Every time I turn on the shower, I think of what a miracle it is, and how much I will desperately miss that, because I enjoy it so much.

I hate feeling this way. I hate it because it didn’t have to turn out this way. And I have felt that way for a few years now.

Unfortunately, I am going to try to enjoy what I am blessed with for as long as I can. If she felt the same, things might be different. But she doesn’t.

I sat down with her a year or so ago for a serious discussion and said: “What do you think is happening? Where do think things will be five years from now?”

She thinks things will continue on as they have.

Being a student of history, I know that history is chock full of people who had all the comforts of a modern society, money, food, housing, etc., all of which they mostly took for granted..then one day, they find themselves walking down an icy road with worn out shoes, no food or money, trying to escape from something or go to something. They had a vibrant life, and whether it was the Vandals, the British, the Indians, the Yankees, the Nazis, the NVA, or even their fellow citizens, they had to leave it all behind to survive.

Well, I have been with her for the better, and will be with her for the worse.

Yeah, I know that the Constitution just really got trampled on...but, Rush is more interested in venting than in laying out a good battle plan to win in November. I do hope he grows out of it.

A battle plan for who? The GOP won't follow it and, unless you haven't decided yet, you already know who you're going to vote for.

What would his "battle plan" consist of?

Yes, I agree with Mark, and I’m going to do that, provided congress does not pass a Failed to Vote Democrat Tax that is, and as far as the option being disastrous, we are already there.

The sad fact is that the GOP does not even know or recognize what happened.

In fact, I’m pretty sure at least some number of them are perfectly fine with what happened.
