Mr. Robert's convoluted constitutional gymnastics to justify voting with the forces of socialism and communism is without any legal merit. His opinion makes no sense constitutionally, legally and morally.
There are two other reasons I am very suspicious of his vote on CommieCare:
1. Nancy Pelosi stated the day before the announcement of the decision that she thought Mr. Roberts would vote with the "majority," on this issue...i.e. the liberals. How on earth would Ms. Pelosi even suspect this development. She had absolutely no reason to think Mr. Roberts would do so unless she had some inside information.
2. Ms. Ginsburg so called opinion is written for the MINORITY, thus making me suspect that Roberts' vote was changed at the last minute.
I don’t care either way, he had the power to stop this CHIT! FREAKIN COWARD!! ROBERTS you are a miserable COWARD!!
Very bright, highly educated people in exalted positions in society which insulate them from inter-mingling with the common people can go through their highly refined thought processes and wind up blithely creating convoluted, seemingly idiotic decisions. Fact of life. Common sense is a rarely bestowed gift given the “wise” among us. Yesterday’s ruling by Roberts is just one example.
There were some interesting trades on Wall Street leading up to this decision. Health care industry. Just sayin’...

No, he screwed over his fellow Justices. The opinions were written then he switched his vote. It is unclear to me whether they left the clues on purpose or just didn’t have time to properly edit. Given the amount of staff that they have ..the edits surely could have gotten done in time.

“They” owned him since the multiple swearing ins. Something happened behind those closed doors. The adoption of his kids may or may not have anything to do with it. Yesterday was when he had to pay the ransom. He just killed the SCOTUS. It’s dead. Congress has proven they have no dignity and will vote with their wallets and now SCOTUS is just as disgusting. The bells are tolling for this once great country.
I don’t believe he was blackmailed or bribed.
The dems didn’t want him and if there was something sufficiently weird about his adoption of children, they would have brought it up during his confirmation hearing.
Look at the dance they went through to find Anita Hill and try to block Justice Thomas with that extremely feeble case against him.
Roberts may have undergone a black robe change or he may have some convoluted reason for the weird decision.
But please, people, stop saying we are doomed.
We are not doomed. We just need a change in administration.
We need to put aside our petty resentments and support Romney with all our hearts.
We need to elect more conservatives to the House and get a majority in the Senate.
All will be well.
Entitlements are extremely hard to get rid of, but remember this stuff isn’t set to go into effect until 2014. By then, we can get rid of it if we don’t sit around moaning.

The democrap party takes any opportunity to blackmail and coerce. Roberts was acceptable to the democraps because they knew how he would be ruling, as in serving the globalist agenda.
Why do so many people - at the highest level of government and the arts - lack even a modicum of common sense? Is it the educational system (it must be)??

Yeah, multiple swearing ins, punting many good eligibility cases, ruling against AZ, and now THIS. He’s bought and paid for. I don’t believe he’s bought with money, but with something. Personal safety? Or just afraid of negative press and his “legacy”?

I think the explanation is simpler. He wasn’t as conservative as we thought. The robe went to his head. Being Chief Justice made it worse and he’s over-thinking everything.
Drudge has been pushing a theory about some medication he’s on that’s affecting his mental processes. I might put a little stock in that theory.
Chicago thugs use threats of bodily harm against a man or his family to get their way.
Obama threatened the Court publically twice. Soros had no trouble threatening Glenn Beck.
Obama is NOT above threatening Roberts or his family with harm. It would not surprize me in the slightest.
Hi Altura, Michael Savage said it’s the medication that did it. My husband says he did it on purpose to hand Romney the election. Sorry none of that is true and I think Obama is going to win. I’m tired of being stepped on. We have no one to help us anymore.
