Was Roberts Blackmailed or Bribed?
THE OLDCORPS | June 29, 2012 | OldCorps

Posted on 06/29/2012 7:09:17 AM PDT by OldCorps

Mr. Robert's convoluted constitutional gymnastics to justify voting with the forces of socialism and communism is without any legal merit. His opinion makes no sense constitutionally, legally and morally.

There are two other reasons I am very suspicious of his vote on CommieCare:

1. Nancy Pelosi stated the day before the announcement of the decision that she thought Mr. Roberts would vote with the "majority," on this issue...i.e. the liberals. How on earth would Ms. Pelosi even suspect this development. She had absolutely no reason to think Mr. Roberts would do so unless she had some inside information.

2. Ms. Ginsburg so called opinion is written for the MINORITY, thus making me suspect that Roberts' vote was changed at the last minute.

Was Mr. Roberts' vote bought and paid for? Was he blackmailed or intimidated? The forces of progress (read socialism) move forward. The nation is lawless now because the supreme court will not uphold basic law. Obama moves forward to victory, just like his idols did in the past, Lenin, Stalin and Mao.

I seem to remember during the Senate confirmation hearings for Justice Roberts there was speculation that there was something illegal about the adoption of his two children.

I’m beginning to think the whole damn country’s been taken over and the powers that be in the branches of government are unable to stop it.

I doubt if he was bribed. Blackmailed, possibily. He’d be screwed - he wouldn’t be able to go to the FBI, because Holder would have been in on it!

Maybe is Obama loses the election, Roberts will be able to get the FBI involved.

Also Ginsburg gave an interview a few days before the decision was announced and she looked like the cat that swallowed the proverbial canary. She promised some unusual result.

Occam's Razor. As a student of Lawrence Tribe, Mr Roberts is an activist.

He knew exactly what he was doing.

Kagan leaked the results beforehand to the WH, IMO.

What most people are not picking up on is this from the dissent:

““Finally, we must observe that rewriting §5000A as a tax in order to sustain its constitutionality would force us to confront a difficult constitutional question: whether this is a direct tax that must be apportioned among the States according to their population. Art. I, §9, cl. 4. Perhaps it is not (we have no need to address the point); but the meaning of the Direct Tax Clause is famously unclear, and its application here is a question of first impression that deserves more thoughtful consideration.””

It means that Roberts changed his vote at the last minute. A very unusual occurrence.

Something happened.

Nobody can convince me that Barry and the ‘RATS didn’t know the decision a week ago. Barry and the ‘RATS knew all along how this was going to go and that it would be Roberts who was going to stick it to America.

Nothing that exotic. He just was afraid of all those nasty op-eds in the NY Times and Washington Post which were going to accuse him of single-handedly destroying the crowning achievement of America’s First Black President.

The guy religiously reads and internalizes all of his press clippings apparently.

Reminds me of the old 1963 "Other Limits" episode ("Hundred Days of the Dragon") where the country was taken over by a ringer put in by Red China. The exception is that he was caught at the end but in our case, we have lost. B-(

Unlikely. If he was blackmailed it was probably over something he would want nobody else to know about which is why he was blackmailed to begin with (that is, IF he was blackmailed)

He wasn’t blackmailed, he simply wanted his legacy, and he got it, The Roberts Tax.

Kagan-— whose full name is Kaganovich. The hahhvahhrd neo socialist dean of hahhhrvard law. And first class lying bitch, who would not and should have recused herself from this case.

The institutions that hold this country together are being assailed from all sides— and most importantly our Supreme Court. These are all essential parts of Alinsky and Cloward-Piven. The govt. support systems will break down under the weight of the demand (created by the revolutionary democrat maniacs) and in the power vacuum here comes the communists.
Beautiful.

Dr. Michael Savage said it had to do with the medication that Justice Roberts is taking for fits. I think we’ll be seeing Roberts come out very soon and explain what happened and request what the court change his vote on ObamaCare (and perhaps on Arizona as well).

Could it be Roberts was trying to appear thoughtfully indecisive in order to maintain the appearance of objectivity? He kinda did the same thing in the majority opinion for SB1070 - gave the right straws to grasp at while eviscerating the law.

He had all of us fooled up until now but this decision was obviously revealing.

Folks, We’ve got to stop second guessing this Justice. He’s handed us the best possible outcome and you act like don’t even know it!

a) He perforated the fabric of the lie that this is somehow NOT a tax. IT IS A TAX... so he LIED and he LIED BIG TIME.

b) He struck down the commerce clause argument thus teeing it up for an easy repeal. You cant filibuster this because it’s a budget item. It will be passed in committee and you only need 51 votes not 60.

c) He gave the administration a Phyrric Victory. We’ve bent like the reed. The democrats are popping champagne corks right now, but later on they’re going to be weeping into their stemware once they discover that obama no longer has a campaign issue. Instead he has a broken promise as everyone realize that he just implemented a new tax on the people who can least afford it!

I’m waiting for all of this to play out before i jump out the window.

I think it’s most delicious that We’ll be laughing last :-)

Now Focus on the economy!

If he did that he’d Roberts would have to resign. Just sayin’... It would be an admission that he’s not up to the job.
