Obama’s gay marriage dispute a blatant political spectacle

Well it is official.

President Barack Obama “personally” supports gay marriage, yet he still hasn’t stated whether gay Americans have the right to actually legally marry.

The issue of gay marriage careened into the spotlight when Catholic Vice President, Joe Biden, affirmed on Sunday’s “Meet the Press” that he is “absolutely comfortable” with “men marrying men, women marrying women and heterosexual men and women marrying.”

Obama’s Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan, followed Biden’s comments by saying, "Yes, I do," when asked whether gay couples should be able to legally marry.

After days of media speculation and fiasco, the president finally came out Wednesday and announced his "personal" support for gay marriage after many reports that top gay donors where withholding funds from the campaign.

However, the president’s announcement came with fine print.

While this is another expression of Zero’s contempt for the American people, this is yet more shameless pandering for more campaign contributions.

I'm still curious as to what this diversion is being used to divert attention from.

A huge nothingburger, designed only to distract from looming financial collapse and vast areas of mismanagement of governmental duties. The statistics that are released paint only a faintly encouraging scenario, while the REAL numbers speak of far greater desperation than yet acknowledged.

This is not the Titanic desperately trying to swerve from the approaching iceberg. This is the band playing and the deck chairs being rearranged. And that strange rending sound and jarring jolt? Only the captain trying to reverse the engines....

Captain? Captain?

The diversion isn’t about gay marriage, as far as I’m concerned. It’s the camel’s nose in the tent to change how we handle marriage & pretty soon the Muslims will be demanding the right to marry multiple women, since it’s part of their religion. Obama won’t have any problem with that either & we’ll end up like France - with every Muslim man with four wives in separate houses, all of them on welfare.

Correct. However, we will also have homosexual and bisexual polygamous marriage. And why not throw polygamous incestuous marriages into the fray too, including the family dog and cat.....Yup, its called marriage equality.

Don’t forget the Muslim practice of marrying young girls—something we outlaw as pedophilia.

Of course. And the leftist agenda to teach sex ed at an early age is resulting in youngsters engaging in sexual acts with little boys being charged with statutory rape. And since that’s an outrage (which it really is), we’ll need to eliminate laws against under-age sex. It’s really amazing how everything they’ve been working on has worked out. God help this country!

After this Mitt story broke about cutting the hair of the supposedly gay kid, I think I see the game plan. This move not only is a financial move with his fundraising bundler problem, and not only shores up some of their base. The long term plan is to push Mit’ts buttons enough to pull him back leftward on gay marriage and damage the enthusiasm advantage on the right.

It is pretty clear with the timing of this story this morning that is a big part of this new move. They know that the GOP voters are getting back to peak enthusiasm and he needs to discourage the motivation for the christian right by trying to make Mitt back peddle to prove he is not a homophobe. Hopefully he does not fall for it.
