Federal officials say the National Christmas Tree planted near the White House a year ago has died and is being removed.
The National Park Service says the Colorado blue spruce died of "transplant shock." It came from a tree farm in New Jersey last year and was planted on the Ellipse just south of the White House in March 2011.

Transfer shock? Would it actually take over a year for this to happen? More likely it was poisoned from the run-off of Moochelle’s garden.
In other news, the Eid bush is thriving, in spite of frequent unscheduled waterings by passersby.
Did you see the rootball on that tree, when it arrived? It was freaking HUGE. It probably could have survived a year with just minimal watering, but since the East Coast didn’t get very much moisture this past winter, the spring shock from new growth might have drained all of its remaining energy. Only God knows for sure. Plant autopsies are problematic, in that there can be several obvious causes of death. Only expensive labwork can narrow it down. I’m betting 0bummer “watered it” in the evenings, after too many drinks.
That thing needs a “Bic Lighter watering”, IMO.

I think the National Christmas Trees are donated by private individuals, but the US Park Service “supervises” digging, transport and installation. That was the problem, I’d bet.

Possibly is Obummer’s fault. “Transplant shock” probably means that the people who did the transplant did it incompetently. Obama has fostered a culture where competence is less important than being the right color and having the right connections.

I truly believe that something is a miss in this event for us. Here is a tree that is supposed to grow naturally . It has the title Christmas tree for this permanent planted tree. Christ 's name is in the title of Christmas.His birthday anniversary.
It was planted in 1978 then is destroyed by winds in febuary of 2011. Which in the same year we have an earthquake that cracks the Washington monument . A symbol of the first president. Obama who is now in the line of this successer from the very beginning. Hmmmmm
Also I had a Christmas style tree on my front lawn from the 1960's. I was a kid. It got just too big we had to cut it down. Three times as big as house in a tight surban area. Healthiest tree ever. It went through Noreaster and hurricane but we had to cut it. I believe a blue spruce? Hmmmmmm
Shouldn’t have planted the poor tree so close to the hedge.

It died from the humiliation of being used as a condom holder and Obama-honoring tree instead of its natural use. Poor tree. It is now out of its misery, and will not have to bear this humiliation again!

Sorry Obowma, but I wouldn’t bother planting another Christmas tree. Three strikes your out and all that jazz. Let the incoming Republican president do that in 2013 and you won’t have to suffer a 3rd failure.
