Did you even see my initial post in which I said that homosexuality is a capital offense? Did you?
Did you see the part where I said there is no homosexuality or politics of any kind in the show? It's just a clever cartoon for little kids and their parents to enjoy together on different levels, like Rocky and Bullwinkle.
Do you actually expect me to believe that there are people out there who really do assume than any non-traditional fan of this show simply must be homosexual? What about the Fundamentalist chrstian bronies I met a couple weeks ago? What about the servicemen who watch it? What about the headbangers?
I did not begin this thread. I responded because some FReeprs were taking it upon themselves to turn opposition to this perfectly harmless show into the next big "conservative" crusade. Why? It's not porn. It's not MSNBC. No one is forcing you to watch it. How dare anyone declare it ideologically "off limits" to watch a perfectly harmless cartoon?
Further news: some of us out here are "geeks." Lots of people are "geeks." There is nothing wrong or shameful in being a "geek" so long as one accepts G-d and His Laws. There's no rule book that says all "geeks" must be liberal and all conservatives must be jocks or bullies.
It's just a show, people. It's not your enemy. Why don't you get back to attacking the stuff out there that actually is liberal and is your enemy?
If you're going to "hate" this show and its fan base, at least have the decency to make it non-ideological hatred. Because it's just a show with no ideology and its fans are united by nothing whatsoever than love of the show.
I can't believe semi-pornographic anime is considered appropriate for conservatives but an intelligent kids' cartoon isn't!

I wasn’t thinking of homosexuality. And I’ve read your posts on this subject. I think you are not being completely honest. Either that, or you have blinded yourself to the reason why others are uncomfortable with this.
Having said that, I’ve nothing to add because I don’t believe discussing it further with you will be productive.
For some Reason, I knew deep down inside that this thread would bring out Passions and I was right, Well You've done it again Ponies, you have assimilated the premier Conservative Website on the Internet and breitbart.com into a discussion board on the merits of the Show, they must be doing something right.

In college it was “Scooby Doo” for me. I enjoyed watching Sponge Bob Square Pants With my kids. One of them told me it is going off the air. :(
Later tonight I guess I’ll have to watch a MLP episode just to see what the fuss is about.
I think you read too much into stuff. The simple fact of the matter is that adult men enjoying a show target marketed to little girls is odd. Doesn’t mean we think you’re gay or not conservative, or hate it or you. But it is odd. Odd happens, most everybody is a little odd on something. Some odds are a little more odd than other odds though. And in this day and age of Toddlers in Tiaras all oddness that is at all associated with little girls gets a bit of a higher raised eyebrow than other oddness. Might not be fair, but life isn’t fair.
