Sudanese had sex with his dead victim, robbed house and tried to kill the family

A Sudanese man was beheaded and then crucified in Saudi Arabia after he was convicted of murdering a local woman before having sex with her.

He then stole SR165,000 (Dh162,000) and tried to kill the other family members.

During trial, the defendant confessed to murdering the Saudi housewife by strangling her while asleep. He then had sex with her, stole her money and jewelry and fled after opening the gas cylinder to kill the other family members.

The court sentenced him to death and crucifixion, prompting him to appeal. But the appeals court gave him the same sentence, which was upheld by the supreme court and endorsed by King Abdullah.

The defendant, identified as Abdul Rahman Zain Al Abidin, was executed in public in the capital Riyadh on Friday, Ajel newspaper said.

Death AND crucifixion?

They hung his dead body on a cross afterwards?

I dunno...

I imagine a lot of Christians are going to get upset about the idea of a cross being used this way, but the truth of the matter is, it was the standard Roman method of execution.

In this case, I am not going to say it was inappropriate. This person deserved all the suffering he received before he was cast into the pit.

But it was minus his head, so it's OK.

It wouldn’t bother me if they had followed the old Roman style.

In my personal opinion, the 8th Amendment was a good idea that didn’t work out the way we expected it to. Unless punishment is stern and hugely unpleasant, it does not deter.

These days, in the USA anyhow, clever lawyers have twisted the cruel and unusual clause until it is unrecognizable, especially as it applies to the death penalty.

I want those bastards to suffer. I would prefer a method of execution that most closely resembles what they subjected their victims to.

The problem is that the courts there are not to be trusted, especially if it is a foreign worker involved. Often the worker is beaten into “confessing” to his or her crime.

If true, he deserves the death penalty, but I wouldn’t consider it true until I saw evidence...

Why didn’t they shoot him afterward?

Why didn't they hang him, too? Oh, wait....

I personally like the idea of eye for an eye.

My advice to the insipid Islamic....

you will get the most benefit by Crucifying the perp FIRST...than before he is dead from the crucifixion...Behead the dirtbag.

do we have to tell these people everything?

Eye for and eye is fine, but dead is dead the rest is just wasted effort.

The significance of beheading in islam is? The body can not enter their islamic paradise without the head & body attached? Geezers another pagan tribal ritual!

My favorite line from Monty Python’s Life of Brian — “Nail him up I say, nail some sense into him!” I think we should abolish the 8th amendment and bring back crucifixion for all these monsters inhabiting the prisons at our expense. Cost of crucifixion? Practically nothing as many of the nails would be re-useable. When I was a prosecutor I once asked that the sentence be crucifixion. Sadly, the judge told me he didn’t have that authority.

Anyone who would rape a corpse is brain damaged to begin with.
Beheading then crucifixion?
That’s just wrong.
He should have been crucified for a day or two, then cut down and beheaded.

You don’t actually believe that Osama was buried at sea, do you?
He died at Tora Bora and they kept his body in a freezer until the president could use it to take attention away from one of his many screw-ups that was becoming too much of a public sensation.

Just guessing here, that the beheading is traditional (what other method would they use - garroting?) and the crucifixion is a method of displaying the corpse for a period of time.

Or maybe it's them virgins would be turned off by the no head thing. Who knows...
