I favored the chalky white ones that came in box with an image of a camel on it. In the summertime pushup pops were a favorite treat. To entertain ourselves we’d slide down steep grassy hillsides on large pieces of cardboard and dammed up a small creek with mud and rock to create a shallow “swimming pool”. On really hot days we’d dig out little bits of tar from the edge of the road for chewing gum. Ah, those were the days!
