In Asia this is the Year of the Dragon and it’s suppose to be a good time to give birth. Hong Kong hospitals are expecting around a 20% increase in births over last year (One can also assume an increase in marriages both last year and this year).
Many women from mainland China come down to Hong Kong and give birth. They come for different reasons but its usually along the lines of better hospitals/health care, getting around the 1 child policy and anchor babies.
