I will not do it!

Posted on 03/29/2012 5:02:14 PM PDT by TexasSecede79366

But Rubio — a prominent Latino lawmaker with roots in the tea-party movement — offers Romney cover with conservatives who have been hesitant to support him.

Screw you Rubio! I will not now or ever again hold my nose and vote for another liberal Republican.

In matters of principle, stand like a rock. -- Thomas Jefferson

My honor isn’t tied to a presidential candidate. My honor is tied to my kids and grandkids.

They have asked me to vote for the nominee. My niece has a husband who had a good business that has been ruined by Obama. She has two children and one with a grave illness.

I have sons trying hard to make it.

That is what is important to me. We have no candidate on our side with perfect principles. None of them. I wish we could have done better, but that is a failure on our part.

We tried to get a good one and we did the circular firing squad.

I am always very leery of someone like you who signs in here in the same year as the election and pushes not voting. This time “not voting” gets us Obama. That is totally not acceptable to me.

Wanna bet ?

I interpret that to mean that if your horse doesn't come in first then you're staying home, right?

Heh... Sorry, but this is not treason but political viability. Common sense to most of us.

I really like Rubio but that has nothing to do with my understanding of his political actions. When you understand this, you will be much happier.

No... that is not why we will never vote for romney. We are not looking for perfection... crap Newt and Rick are the alternatives... and I would vote for either of them. All three are awful candidates... one is a communist, baby killing kennedy-ite.

In my case... in over 40 years of republican activism and donating about 100k to the cause... I am personally tired of being manipulated and lied to and screwed over by the gop/e. I warned them back in 2008... millions of us warned them in 2008 and back... Reagan warned them in 1975... and yet they do not listen. Well I will not support someone like mitt romney and if the republicans nominate him... they had better find a hell of a lot more guys like yourself... because obama is going to go Hannibal Lecter on romney and there is not a thing that anyone can do about it... because every word of the attacks will have evidence and a history to back them up.

Mississippi will go for the gop regardless, so my vote means nothing... but to me. After this election... I work with Patriots to seize the gop and return to republicanism or I help a new party rise and destroy the gop. Either way... business as usual is over for the hard right.

Given a choice between cyanide and strychnine (in this case the most liberal (alleged) president in American history and the most liberal governor in American history), sensible folks say “NO.”

-- and you're not leery of someone with a handle like mine?
That is what drives me. What kind of life are we leaving to our grandchildren?
Us "boomers" destroyed this nation in one generation. We must fix it. The time is now, there is no tomorrow. If you just lay down and "go with the flow",you handed off your failings to your children.
Look at Romney closely. He's put up as the "token white boy" or as Rubio put it "He's earned a chance."

Do what?

but my purity is solid.

A reed that bends in the wind lasts far longer than one that breaks.

The trick is to know when to bend and when to be rigid.

Rigidity at the wrong time is equal to failure.

Snap.

It just tells me that the many conservatives who will choose to stay home will let themselves be snookered by the Libs who have "crossed over" in the GOP primaries and forced (unethically) the nomination of the least conservative nominee. You've been had. Now you will facilitate their victory. Nice job. Please consider the consequences of your choice.

Restoration of our great country will be a looonnnngggg process and we must start now, not wait until 2016.

If Obama succeeds in 2012, you will have yourself to blame.

I suggest everyone consider the story of Beckett(sp?) for example of how someone can rise to the job.

I’m eating my never vote for Romney words. It was Obama’s off air “give me time” comment to the Russians that did it for me.

It’s not a vote because I like Romney. It’s a FUBO vote.

You will fix nothing and turn this country over to the left forever. Only a selfish person would do that.

How long did it take for the left to take over this country?

Many years.

They are patient and we are not. We want it all now and that is not going to happen. You won’t change the indoctrination and greed that prevails in this country by electing one President no matter how freaking pure you think he or she is.

Until the culture is reversed and the work is done to turn this back, all we can do is slow it down. Reversal is hard work.

Turning this country over to the communists for 4 more years is foolish.

People around here talk all the time that a war is coming. No it isn’t. Nobody has the stomach to give up their cushy life for death and destruction for liberty like the people did in our founding days.

The country-club, RINO elite pushed for Romney and gambled that the rank and file would line up like slack jawed idiots to pull the lever for a liberal with a history of supporting abortions and homosexual propaganda.

Based on the responses on this thread, their bet was wise.

NO F’n RINOs! Screw you GOP!

No, I’m no sure about Romney but a FUBO vote will make me have Schadenfreude when Zero exits.

To you and others who seem to be seeking a "pure" conservative might I suggest that the November election is the FIRST step, not the last. Do all of you "purists" have spouses that are perfect? Children?

All the candidates are "flawed." Romney is not merely flawed. Romney is repugnant. I will not vote for "repugnant."

Ooooh! Let's see if we can get John Kerry to run as the GOP nominee. We'd get a lot of morons tripping over their feet in their rush to support him just like they supported Arlen Specter and they are now rushing to support Romney!

This is just like when you guys gushed over Boener. Isn't he working out so wonderfully?

Screw you GOP!

You're right. It's going to be more like the Soviet Union's collapse. There won't be a choice.
