I too have been wanting a gun for quite a while.
When I was a pretty young thing I was a liberal, a hippie, smoked week, made love, put flowers in guns.
Heh.
I am so concerned about this upcoming election. I really believe that Holder and Obama are setting up this country for violence.
There’s Occupation Wall Street Whiners, and that Zimmerman thing in Florida. All being carefully orchestrated as I see it.
I don’t think the plan is so much to cause riots and violence, but to create mayham in carefully selected places. Look where OWS is still hanging around....the cities. The Zimmerman thing is in Florida, a crucial state.
I think the plan is to SCARE non-Obama voters into not going to the polls. Somehow they’ll arrange some sort of big protest at all the voting polls. Let us not forget the Black Panthers hanging out at that Philadelphia poll place and how Holder got right on that issue.
Only thing is, you get mobs of people fired up, if you think you’re going to control them, you would be wrong. I think the plan is to fire up fear and mayhem mostly in the big cities as this is where the people are, duh.
So at age 61, I looked up a gun shop, called them up, told them I’d never once fired a gun. They had a class where I learned about guns, a firing range where I fired a bunch, all kinds, then finally I purchased a gun...a Smith and Wesson 38 revolver.
But I tried them all, learned how to hit the target, learned how to hold.....all of it.
Man it was a long day then the paperwork, had to give the name of my first cat, my mother’s elementary school boyfriend....had to give all sorts of documentation. THEY had to call the gubmint bureaucrats who have nothing going for them except working for the gubmint and bossing people around. Had to wait one hour for them to look up my info on the computer between lunch and cigarette breaks.
BUT I GOT A GUN!

I will probably never use but no matter. From now on, every second of every day I know I got the same thing the bad guys got and if that Obama plan goes awry....I just feel safer.
And I can fire it. Hit the target EVERY TIME!

great that you got a gun, I was a little too old for the flowerchild era, but did lots of shooting in my teens. I’m old enough that I know if someone broke in I wouldn’t stand a chance of protecting myself or daughter that lives with me. She is very scared of guns but since becoming a widow I think I would feel safer with a gun. My 3 sons think a gun is a good idea, both daughters think it’s a horrible idea
Should be Phillip going home.... in my opinion. Prob won’t be though...
