you forget to mention the atmosphere was more oxygen rich. This is why insects, with no circulatory system, were able to be larger with low efficiency osmosis breathing.

also the earth is bombarded DAILY with meteors in small ammounts. It is akin to a bucket filling up based on one drop of water once a year so to speak.

Can you find a single credible scientist who reports that photosynthesis creates mass from the energy of the Sun? Do you know ANYTHING about photosynthesis? Apparently not. Science has described the chemical reactions of photosynthesis, enzyme by enzyme and molecule by molecule.

As to what happens to the high energy molecules - they are broken back down to low energy molecules and that energy used to create ordered plant structures - leaving the low energy molecules free to capture sunlight and become high energy molecules again.

How about Einstein? E = m*c^2. Why don't you calculate just how long a plant with photosynthetic surface area of 1 square meter would need to absorb sunlight (assuming 100% efficiency) to absorb enough energy to create a single GRAM of new matter.

Your ignorance is absolutely amazing!

Even assuming photosynthesis creates mass, which it doesn't, how does Sunlight make the EARTH increase in mass? Does the Earth itself undergo photosynthesis? Or did you dream up a different fantastical mechanism?

Oh, I agree. However, one of those laws concerns that principle that energy can be converted to matter, and matter to energy. Or is that not true?

The great conservation laws are simply what they are. It really doesn't matter to them if we believe them to be true or not. It is simply impossible to dispute them.

As usual, you and others pick and choose which questions to answer, mainly because you have no explanations for the others.

However, I truly try to respond to each question.

Do you think humans lived in the time of low gravity dinosaurs?

I have seen no evidence that humans lived back when the 'dinos' flourished. That only leaves speculation, and my best guess would be no. That neither proves they did or did not.

As editor-surveyor said about Angkor Watt, I wasn't there. Maybe if we could find some drawings made by dinosaurs of humans...?

So, perhaps you could explain how it is that dinosaurs are found buried under tons and tons of rock and dirt?

Shouldn't most of them be found at the surface?

Ok then.

What mechanism explains your proposed ‘sunlight makes the Earth create mass’ principle?

How long would a plant need to absorb one square meter of sunlight in order to amass enough energy to create a single gram of energy?

Please use E= m*c^2 in your calculation - and not some fantastical equation of your own invention.

After figuring out the answer - do you STILL think that a watermelon in sunlight grows because it is CREATING mass from energy?

the same way the battlefield of thermopalye is no longer along the coast.

The fact the dinosaur extinction occured 65 millioni years ago and to the day the plates and eart is shifting.

The fact the glaciers have moved the soil and rock. Earthquakes, volcanoes. Rivers have formed and clogged and others have opened.

the earth is not static.

"Which is the process of photosynthesis where it stores the ENERGY from the SUN as mass, which is then turned from mass back into energy, for instance, when we eat it."

"Or is this not true?"

It is not true.

Energy from the sun is used to power the chemical reactions that take mass from the surrounding environment (earth, water, air) and grow the watermelon. No energy is converted to mass. No mass is converted to energy when we eat them.

No, not contradictory.

I have close friends that have extensive videos of pterodactyls flying in New Guinea, but the posted photo was not real.

OK, so if an asteroid hit the earth and caused the dinosaurs to go away, what happens if another asteroid hits the earth and the dinosaurs come back? Does the government have a contingency plan for that, other than to blame everything on George W. Bush? Without a doubt, women and minorities will be hurt the most. It won't be safe for kids to play outside if hadrosaurs and apatosaurs might come stomping by at any minute.

A long time ago, before Free Republic existed, I used to read an online Dinosaur list. My recollection is that not everyone buys into the big-asteroid-caused-dinosaur-extinction theory, but the advocates of that theory have been pretty successful at making the public think their theory is established science. Sort of like with man-made global warming.
